Anyways, 2db reader Noah hit me up with some cool information and music regarding a Washington based group called The Saturday Knights. Consisting of two emcees (Tilson and Barfly) and a producer (DJ Suspence) the trio released their album, Mingle (which has some crazy features from the likes of The Dap Kings, Jack Endino [Nirvana], Kim Thayil [Soundgarden] and more), for free. I know a lot of people are giving away free music but it’s still dope everytime I see that. It shows artists are still in it for the love of music and not just a check (which aren’t even that great).

I got great news today. The debut album from the dope DJ Fakts One, a key figure in the Boston hip hop scene as well as a member of the extremely dope Perceptionists with Mr. Lif & Akrobatik. I got the pleasure to chill with dude alongside Lif a year or so back at Paid Dues. Story is he just dissapeared from music and we’re just now getting his long lost debut, Long Range (July 22nd).
