Last week I shot the Air Born video for The Kid Daytona featuring Bun B. The beat which is produced by 6th Sense has this real mellow floaty vibe to it so I knew I wanted to shoot the majority of this video with someone or something floating in midair. Since shooting in outerspace wasn’t in the budget, I had to settle for NYC. Luckily, Daytona knew someone here on earth that could defy gravity for us, EBC star Africa. We shot the whole video at a little park downtown, no permits. Aside from having to work around screaming kids at camp, and a basketball leagues scheduled game everything went surprisingly smooth. Daytona and Bun B are two of the nicest and most laid back artists I have ever worked with. Shout outs to the Three/21 fam Rik, Nancy and Steve, Jamal, Owen, Jordan at Sneaktip, Dan, Evan, and of course Daytona, Bun B, 6th and Africa.

Three/21 recently shot a video for “Sweatin Out Weaves” aka “Pat Your Weave” – UCB feat. Wale off the “Back To The Feature” Mixtape. As you see from the above preview, DC has the weave game on lock. UCB and Wale go together like white on rice so it was truly a pleasure to capture the essence of DC Go Go infused Hip-Hop right in the heart of the city. Video coming soon!

The concept was pretty simple, Chris sees girl, Chris sweet talks girl, Chris gets girl. Fortunately for Chris, this wasn’t going to take too long to shoot, so when he arrived on set 4 hours late due to “shore traffic” I was still able to pull this off with the 2 hrs of daylight we had left. – Derek Pike

Before I get back on my post grind I have to express my frustrations. If you’ve been following me on Twitter you already know the deal. Three babies and two nuns later, I’m finally at a spot with free WiFi. What’s the deal with these places now a days? I remember when McD’s, Starbucks, the library, etc all had free internet. Now you gotta pay for two hour blocks? Fuck that. This is the reason there hasn’t been any updates from me since 5 yesterday. I believe Meka is having no-internet issues as well. Here goes the new short film from Rik & Rick. Ross on the production, Cordero on the directing.

Executive produced by Rick Ross, “Deeper Than Rap” shows the young brother of a successful drug dealer witness the murder of his older sibling and associate while in his home. Filmed with a dark setting and with songs from Ross’ album playing in the background, the film jumps to a present-day image of the protagonist as he has followed in his brother’s footsteps within the drug game. Showing he has a business mentality amongst his associates and partners, the story’s main character faces off with the men responsible for slaying his family.
