While everyone seems to be all excited about tonight’s draft (for reasons I know none of as this year’s draft class is pretty underwhelming); a few big trades have went down. Orlando is shipping out Alston, Battie & Lee to the Nets for Vince Carter (and Ryan Anderson); while Shaq will be joining LeBron in Cleveland for Wallace & Pavlovic. Another trade that went down is giving the Spurs another wing that can score in Richard Jefferson; for Bowen, Thomas & Oberto. And since the draft is going down in an hour and a half, we might as well use this post as the source of communication. UPDATE: And with the first pick, the Clippers draft Blake Griffin. GASP! I’m soooo shocked haha.

As I’m getting together a few posts to finish off my night I checked this email from Eighty’s Baby that included a track from Three-1-Zero and El Prez off 310’s ‘99 Lakers LP. I was gonna just post that joint, but then I found the entire LP over at his MySpace so why not drop it all? You all know what team the dopeboyz rep so this is an automatic post. But don’t think it’s just a Laker related post. Three-1-Zero can spit! You’ll see a few things from dude on the upcoming 2db West Coast mixtape (August).

Oh boy. The first to sample Shaq’s already infamous freestyle is J.Rocwell! I can fuck with it, dude does his thing like usual. The Diary mixtape was fire so you shouldn’t expect nothing else. Be on the lookout for his new single, Handbags, dropping July 4th! And word is, J.Roc has something up his sleeve that will, and I quote, make AC’s Attack of the Blogs!! look like child’s play. (No beef with AC, we give him props for his creativity.) We shall see!

It’s hilarious to me when someone can talk that much shit about LA not taking the championship when neither of your own teams went past the second round this past year (one just winning 15 games). Haha, this lightens my mood. Especially after watching the Lakers lose in OT. Dah well, back to LA tied up. According to TMZ (great source I know!) Suge got leveled Saturday night at Shag Nightclub in Hollywood. Apparently Suge and his goons rushed some dude who owed him money. The guy they rushed got up and landed a right hook to Suge’s domepiece, knocking him out for three minutes?!? Meka, weren’t you wondering why no one went after Suge? Ha, guess they do.
