Funny you should say that Kanye… now I know how you feel. The other day I was walking the streets of T-Dot and I went to pay for parking when my card was declined. Smh… turns out the bank shut off my Visa because I was in the country longer that I “said” I was going to be. One call took care of things, but yea… what thee fluuuck!?

Anyways… right now I feel pretty good. Which is surprising, considering the amounts of (free) alcohol I consumed last night. I must say, going to a couple spots with six lovely ladies and you’re the only guy has it’s perks. And not just the obvious haha. The instant we arrive (at Chevel), we’re invited to a booth. Bottle service (on someone else’s tab) is that shit! After a few drinks, we’re off to the next spot, The Foundation. Well… what do you know? Another booth and more bottles of Goose! Drink after drink after drink. I had a blast! And a select few will be happy to hear that my arm didn’t go through a BMW windshield this time! The evening was bittersweet though as was my last night in Canada and my last night with the misses… I’ll be back.

Packing and eating (Subway, of course) are in my immediate future. I won’t be around today but I’ll be sure to catch up when I land in Vegas. Have a good day ya’ll!

The title says it all. I’m on my way to Montreal to celebrate the New Year. It’s a nice little 8 hour drive so don’t expect much from me until I get to the hotel. If any of ya’ll are doing it up out there hit me up. You can buy me a shot of Patron ha. I should be back to posting tonight, but if not… be safe and enjoy the celebration.

Mickey stops by POW! Radio to spit a few bars. Speaking of the GFC emcee… the dopeboyz are supposed to meet up with dude sometime this week but I doubt the Shake can make it. So maybe Meka will have some exclusive stuff soon? We’ll see.

SHAKE: Where do I start? I remember when the idea was just that … an idea I pitched to Meka with no exact expectations. I wish I could remember some of the titles we were gonna run with. The Tapedeck, Paid in Full, Can We Live, etc. There were some great ones and some horrible ones. I’m glad we ran with 2dopeboyz, because it embodies exactly what we are haha. I never thought we’d be at where we are so quick. I remember when we hit that 1millie mark. Once we hit 2 millie so quick I knew it was a wrap. I have a bunch of shit to say and a bunch of people to thank but I’ve gotta continue packing. So just know I appreciate any and everything ya’ll do for us. Thanks for keeping in tune with the dopeboyz as we venture to take over the industry like we promised just one year ago.

MEKA: I can’t believe it’s been a year already. Hell, I didn’t even know what I’d be doing when I was approached with the idea last year. I am however eternally grateful for the opportunity I was given, and it has no doubt played a huge part in essentially every endeavor I’ve done in the past 366 (leap year, bidges). Many thanks to Shake for essentially taking a chance on an angry Black blogger (I ain’t mad no more like Skillz, though), and I thank everybody who has visited, commented, downloaded, talked shit, downloaded then talked shit, collaborated, all that good stuff. Here’s to another 12 months of delivering the goods this culture desperately needs, and be on the lookout for much bigger and better things in the future.

Your boy Shake just copped a Flip Mino and you can be damn sure that it will be put to good use. Starting with the Magic Convention that is going down next week. Shall be good times. What on earth could a Shake-N-Bake Edition mean? Well it’s a partnership myself and DJ Slimm have been fucking with for awhile. I’m Shake and he’s always Baked so it works out haha. You may have noticed the Talledega Nights sample in the Blu x Mainframe joint I dropped. Be on the lookout for a lot of projects between us soon enough. Starting with this… Slimm went in and put his own twist on the GZA album. The original tracks are there, you just get them in a podcast type formula with some dope mixing and a nice reorder of tracks, etc. Check it out and let us know what you think or what albums you would like done up! Also, be sure to cop Pro Tools in stores tomorrow!
