In tribute to Derrion Albert (and others), a few Chicago emcees jump on a remix to a joint off 9th Wonder & David Banner’s upcoming project, Death of a Popstar. UPDATE: Added the full/explicit version (via FSD).

Due to the recent violent death of Derrion Albert and with fewer than 200 homicides since the beginning of the year killings in Chicago (www.chicagobreakingnews.com), these tragedies have not only attracted worldwide press, but major recording artists David Banner, Rhymefest, Naledge, Skooda Chose, 9th Wonder & Twista, have united to raise awareness of violence among urban youth within Chicago by organizing an Anti-Violence rally. The rally will serve as a creative canvas and backdrop for the video shoot of the release of the song Something’s Wrong.

Ruh roh… looks like the latest track from Cookin’ Soul didn’t sit well with Mr. Fest (as show in the Twitter messages above). When blends go wrong… and I’m pretty sure we all knew it was a blend right? Even though it was pushed as a new joint, 95% of the folks that listened recognized the ‘kiss verse right away.
