Damn… I just got word that Party Arty (D.I.T.C/Ghetto Dwellas) has passed away this afternoon due to undiclosed health complications. Not a great way to finish off the day by any means. 2DBz sends their condolences to his  friends and family. I also included a joint he featured on for the latest D.I.T.C. album, The Movement.

Damn, not the best news to hear when you first wake up. George was that dude.

Damn, it’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since Stack was murdered. That’s crazy! I said it when he passed and I’ll say it again. I was one of the people who actually enjoyed dude’s music before he passed. I might not have followed up on dude as much when he started running with the Dips but when he was fucking with Budden, Fab, etc I was a big fan. As much as I’d like to I’ll refrain from calling out the people who jump on the deceased bandwagon just cause. Rest in Peace Rayquan Elliot! And while were at it, to the dopeboyz and dopegirlz out there who were fans. What tracks did you enjoy?

While packing up our booth after the mini-tornado hit SounSet ‘08 I heard some disheartening news. Aesop Rock announced that his friend and fellow Weathermen emcee Camu Tao had passed after a nearly a two year battle with lung cancer. I’ve been a up on dude’s music for quite sometime as I was huge MHz/Weathermen fan back in the day. So on behalf of 2DB, I’d like to send my condolences to his friends and family. Rest In Peace Mr. Smith.

Now that the radiator is installed I finally get to watch this Cavs/Celts game (at 1am). I love my DVR. Started on the second half so I’m not gonna read any comments until then. Here are a few unreleased Stack Bundles tracks for ya’ll. To be honest I was a fan of Stack when he rolled with Desert Storm. Him, Fab, Joey, etc. They we’re killing shit. I stopped following him once he made his Byrd Gang music though. Sq-sq-sq-sq-squuuuuuad up!

It’s been 2 years since the D-12 emcee lost his life over some bullshit. I hate this world sometimes. About 2 months ago I got the honor to meet Proof’s mother. At a Strong Arm Steady video shoot of all places. I was wearing my fallen soldiers shirt (it has the last names of all the fallen rappers in the game). She grabbed my hand and pointed at Holton “that’s me” I was confused and just smiled. Then she asked if I knew who it was. It’s Proof of course. “Yes that’s me, I’m Proof’s mother.” As short as that was, it was touching and something I’ll remember for life. Rest in peace Deshaun Holton.
