We’ve dropped a few tracks off this mixtape over the past few weeks and DJ Wristpect finally drops his anticipated mixtape, hosted by Little Brother. Volume 3 of his Briding the Gap series features artists from T-Dot and North Carolina. From Drake and Kardinal Offishall to Little Brother and the Hall of Justus family.

This one’s fairly self explanatory.. If you are familiar with the last two ‘Bridging The Gap’ series (see: New York & Chicago) of mixed compilations, then you know what to expect.  Good looking out to everyone who came through on this project, from both Toronto & North Carolina.  Production & emcees are from either of the two cities, and the project is hosted by Little Brother over a year ago when they were in Toronto, promoting their Getback LP. For various reasons (other mixtapes, parties, tours, my own laziness, etc) I never ended up getting back to this until I found out that they were coming back to TO for another tour.. Time flies.  I’m happy its out, although wish I got to spend more time on it.. but such is life. Shouts to Big Dho aka MR DOITALL BITCH!

Moving sucks. That is all. So while I’m packing shit up, I’ve been bumping this new Drake record that will be featured on DJ Wristpect’s upcoming Bridging the Gap v5 (TO to NC). The tape will be hosted by Little Brother and is expected to drop Sunday. If you’re not familiar with the series, Wristpect does exactly what the title suggests. Bridges the gap between T-Dot and another city/state. This time being North Carolina. So expect new shit from the likes of Saukrates, Drake, Theo3, Joe Scudda, Tona, Darien Brockington, Supastition, Rich Kidd, 9th Wonder, JD Era, Khrysis, Eddie Brock, Jozeemo, Kardinal Offishall, Little Brother and more.

I got great news today. The debut album from the dope DJ Fakts One, a key figure in the Boston hip hop scene as well as a member of the extremely dope Perceptionists with Mr. Lif & Akrobatik. I got the pleasure to chill with dude alongside Lif a year or so back at Paid Dues. Story is he just dissapeared from music and we’re just now getting his long lost debut, Long Range (July 22nd). If you’re confused it’s probably because I’m dizzy and in need of rest so hit up the plantation. And since Shake is a man of bonuses and I like to support both the North West and Little Brother I’ve included a new track from The Parker Brothaz out of Federal Way. Rapper Big Pooh jumps on the cut which is off two projects: The Parker Brothaz So Fresh Coast album as well as the Rapper’s Delight mixtape starring Big Pooh.
