My man nation posted this over at NR earlier today. I watched then left it at that, never posted (obviously). But this is Method Man so it has to get some shine. Right vex? This is a great interview. Tical speaks on his movie The Wackness (the soundtrack is dope!), hip hop in 1994, hip hop in 2008, etc. Says the lean wit it style music is cool, just in moderation. A slew of great topics come up, from gas prices, type casting to politics. If hip hop influences violence, terrorism, etc. I could go on and on about what goes on during this, so just peep it yourself and enjoy. I need Blackout II now.

This played before Iron Man came on. Jeebus I can’t wait. I forget who asked how Iron Man was in one of the comments so I’ll just answer here. It was dope. RD Jr did really well. He played the arrogant millionaire perfectly! The storyline was straight, Ms. Paltrow was looking nice, action scenes were on point. Overall it was worth the money. Should be interesting to see where they take it for part 2. Just saying. Now onto Batman! I’m gonna leave it up to my esteemed dopeboy colleaque for his thoughts. Meka?

Wow. Just wow. Between crying while watching the Kim K tape and gettin anal with Mariah Carey (word to Eminem) Nick Cannon has become 2pac? *Sigh… thanks to woohah for the fuckery that is Nicky in his upcoming movie Ball Don’t Lie.

Off to see Cloverfield. Anyone seen this? I was doubtful when I saw this wacked out drawing of the balooga whale looking monster that takes over NY, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. I just put up DeMarco’s review over at HipHopDX and he gave it a solid 4/5 so we’ll see…

EDIT: Just got back, dope film! Felt a bit nauseated after with the whole 1st person ordeal haha. But regardless, 2008 has been a good movie going year so far. First Juno (I highly recommend) now this? Very creative and intriguing way to do this. Definitely gets Shake’s “Stamp of Approval”.

Check out the trailer for Ice Cube’s new movie, Three Friday’s After the Original First Sunday. Co-starring Tracy Morgan (who is funny … but is no Chris Tucker or Mike Epps). I’m glad Cube is back in this type of film, looks pretty funny. But damn … can we skip having a day in the title?

Grossing $46.3 million over the weekend, it marks the highest opening ever for an R-Rated crime drama as well as the highest opening ever for a Denzel or Russell film. That’s right. Through my promotion, and mine alone this movie hit the #1 selling mark for the weekend haha. But seriously congrats to all involved with the excellent film (saw it this weekend).
