A few weeks back I posted the latest effort from Chicago’s Scheme. I really feel it got overlooked, but that won’t stop the grind. While we wait for his next project (with RubyHornet & 2DopeBoyz) he wanted to let loose of the instrumentals and a capellas of the EP. Just a little something for ya’ll to dabble with. A few weeks back we held our first ever Beat Battle at the dopehouse. NR vs DviousMindZ; with NR coming out victorious. I’ll announce the next challenger sometime this week(myself and Meka have a pretty fresh idea for the battle). Anyways… NR put together this beat cd (mixed by DJ Slimm) as he was with me in Phoenix this weekend for the One Stop Shop. I helped distribute the hard copies to the likes of Skyzoo, Black Milk, etc. So we’ll see where that goes. But you can never underestimate the power of the internet people! So we got together a link and figured it would be best to shoot it to ya’ll. Artists looking to hop on any of these tracks, feel free to hit him up and you can work out getting you an untagged version. Dave Chappelle FTW! We’re also working on a 6-8 track EP featuring production by NR & Slimm with artists like Outasight, Kyle Lucas, Nero, QuESt, etc on the rhymes. Look out for that! Before I drop my Sunday Soothing Session on ya’ll, I figured I would make a post about this NahRight x Cookin’ Soul x Isaac Hayes project I’ve been meaning to get up.

The 10th of August 2008, Isaac Hayes died. He was an incredible musician, composer and producer whose innovative sound changed the shape of pop and soul music in the 70s. As we heard the news, the three of us got to work. 48 hours later we had finished our tribute to one of the greatest. Enjoy. – Cookin’ Soul

As far as I know, there hasn’t been an official statement released. But I’m pretty sure Mickey Factz has some tricks up his sleeve. He just shot over this Skyzoo freestyle over his Incredible instrumental. We already posted Naledge ripping it. And I’ve heard from a few other artists (name’s remain secret) that they are doing the same. The next A Millie maybe? But instead of Chris Brown and wack ass artists getting over it, we get strictly dope artists? I’m down. Again, these are just my thoughts people.
