Keeping up with the dope female artists of the world (no not that Kim-wannabe that Wayne is promoting), I present to you Sy Smith. She’s no newbie by any means. Sy started off singing in a DC based go-go band as well as being a back up singer to Whitney Houston. Did I mention she majored in psychology at Howard University? I didn’t? Well she did. She dropped her debut album, Psykosoul, in 2000 in which she co-wrote and produced. Now on her fourth album, Conflict, which dropped last month; she’s still on her funk/soul/r&b game.
