Usually I don’t do samples of freestyles, but when I heard Frank White throw a weird combination of homophobic ranting (”Niggas press they luck and they get a butt-fuckin’…”), self-deprecating humor and a wild, untamed flow (”Getting back to the black rhinoceros of rap/Big took a loss, how preposterous is that?”), I had to find what exactly he rapped over.

Last post before I hit the couch (my bed for the past week). The good folks over at illRoots hit me with a link to this mash-up tape between Biggie Smalls and the Rolling Stones. Crazy Chris, Greedy Beatz, DJ Osk, Dub Floyd and OJ Loopz do a great job on this one. After two full spins I’m officially impressed.

DJ Deep Freeze of Sub Zero DVD sits down with Biggie’s ex-main squeeze Ms Baltimore and speaks on just about everything including the infamous Un Rivera stabbing involving Hova. DJ Mister Cee put together one of the best mixes in tribute to the Notorious one. 10 years after Big’s untimely death, Mister Cee released a 10th Anniversary Edition, fully stacked with original recordings, unreleased material, live performances and much more. The original version of You’re Nobody is crazy! A few thoughts from Mister Cee himself on the tribute tape can be read over at the plantation. So as we begin to close out the day, I figured I’d drop BOTH on ya’ll. Yep, the original tape + the 2cd 10th Anniversary edition. Enjoy!

Busy as shit yet still updating more than most. You know how Shake handles his haha. Here is a tribute song for Notorious B.I.G., which features a VERY random set of guest spots. Curtis (ok), Bizzy Bone (ok), Bobby Valentino (uhh sure), Chingy (WTF?!?), Maino (ok, i get it), Chris Notez & “Hav Boy” Monte (the later 2 I don’t really know, but sure). I just don’t get that Chingy placement, weirdness. Regardless they are paying tribute to one of the best so I can’t knock it. And you better believe 2DB is gonna be cracking off this weekend with Biggie’s passing anniversary and all. I’m sure Meka will have a ton of treats for everyone.
