Some great news for the all Murs 3:16 lovers out there. I remember some people saying they only fuck with Murs over 9th production, well here you go. Artwork for the upcoming Re-Up Gang album, dropping August 5th. There’s still no tracklist but hit the jump and check out the artwork, spotted of OS. What are you guys expecting from the album? I’m excited to hear them all over some original production. I’m expecting some great shit!

No, there is nothing new on this post as far as music, but I felt it’s only right that I speak on this upcoming project from Detroit’s Zo! and Phonte (of Little Brother). Te recently spoke with DX about the project saying that it’s their way of paying homage to the stuff they grew up listening too. If you aren’t aware Zo! & Tigallo Love the 80’s! is a project that is chalk full of covers to 80’s R&B and pop songs. And to be honest, it’s one of my most anticipated albums of 2008. I had the honor to preview a few tracks during our chill time in MPLS and despite me not knowing a few of the originals (since I’m a real 80’s baby and was too young to remember) the music itself is amazing. Te also said they were very serious with everything, from the vocal side, to the production side, to the final mixing and mastering. And based off what I heard I can’t argue that at all! Be on the lookout for a new leak from the project sometime next week (most likely on the ever-so-dope Gordon Gartrell Radio podcast). Until then, enjoy the three tracks that have been released in the past.

Just got Danny’s album, And I Love H.E.R., in the mail and I must say it’s one of the coolest inlays I’ve seen this year. Thanks for sending it through man. Now that Nas isn’t running with Nigger as the title, the previous artwork that was spread across the internets shouldn’t be used. This right here is the supposed new artwork. Waiting on complete confirmation but it def fits the subject matter (that I’m hoping will be on the album). What ya’ll think? So it looks like Esco went back on his word (again) and will no longer be going with the title Nigger for his upcoming LP. Gee, like we all didn’t see that coming. I know I thought it, I know eskay thought it. What about all this “I’m gonna fight it. I’m at a big enough status that I can drop this. Who cares if some stores ban it.” talk?

According to EW.com, a Def Jam representative has confirmed that Nas will no longer be naming his upcoming project Nigger. Instead, Nasir Jones will opt for a less controversial title: Nas. – HipHopDX

Both Nas (Nas) and G-Unit (Terminate on Sight) are dropping July 1st. Who are you copping?
