Most times I get music thrown in my direction. Some times, however, I happen to stumble upon it. This happens to be one of those times. Not a mix of all-new music, but definitely something to get the pants off anybody if played in the right setting.

While it didn’t sample a song per se, Che’s flip of two rappers’ lines into one hook as well as AEON’s breakdown from electro boom bap to house to a play on Bobby Womack and The New Birth’s “I Can Understand It” is just too ill for words. I don’t do that dancing shit in clubs, but if they threw this on I’d likely bug the fuck out. I need Everything’s Good Ugly in my life not now, but right now.

Philly’s own AEON strikes again, this time remixing Panacea’s cut from their 2007 album, The Scenic Route, for the group’s own remix album, The Re-Route, featuring fellow luminaries Nicolay, DJ Numark, DJ Spinna and others, coming soon. I guess it goes without mentioning that Che Grand’s “Girl Talk” has been one of the more incredible tracks I’ve heard this year so far.
