A few weeks back I posted the latest effort from Chicago’s Scheme. I really feel it got overlooked, but that won’t stop the grind. While we wait for his next project (with RubyHornet & 2DopeBoyz) he wanted to let loose of the instrumentals and a capellas of the EP. Just a little something for ya’ll to dabble with. Whether you remix the vocals, rhyme over the beats, etc. Do what you do. The Manifesto EP is also available on iTunes, Amazon, Lala and many other onlines stores. Earlier Meka put up Ash performing a verse a capella for Sun Sessions. Here’s another video from the same performance. This time Asher does one of my favorite verses from him. A verse that deserves no hate, yet people will still do so because they seem to be ignorant as fuck. Asleep in the Bread Aisle in stores April 20th. The 4/20 Campaign will commence soon enough. DJ K.O. came to me with a pretty fresh proposition. We’re giving producers a chance to remix one of my favorite cuts of his album, Picture This. This was also the first track Royce & Elzhi ever appeared on together. With that said… I’ll give K.O. the keyboard and let him give you the run down…

When I put Royce, Elzhi & Supastition on this track together nearly 3 years ago, who would have thought joints like “Motown 25” or “Glow” would be the trickle down effect?!!???!!? I want to give a chance to every producer out there to be a part of history that I helped create with “Best To Do It” being the 1^st track Royce & Elzhi were on together. I’m going to be releasing a remix EP for Picture This shortly and the winner will receive placement on it as well as have their own hand in hip-hop history. The good folks at Elementality Productions, Shaman Work Recordings and 2DB present to you the “Best To Do It” Remix Contest!! Right around the time when we witnessed the classic Swagga Like Puff, Crooked laced the infamous SLU beat for a track that was supposed to feature a few elite emcees (if you listen you’ll know). Plans fell through and the record never came out. I remember when Mickey sent me the rough of this back then. It’s seriously been on rotation every day. Crook dismantles it. And instead of letting it stay with the rest of his unreleased material they are deciding to release the a capella so that DJs, producers and internet savy people can do what they want. BPM is 89, do your thing.
