On December 21st, Eminem will be refilling his prescription. And just as fans/critics started to spread rumors… Relapse 2 is still on it’s way.
“I want to deliver more material for the fans this year like I originally planned” Eminem says. “Hopefully these tracks on The Refill will tide the fans over until we put out Relapse 2 next year”. Eminem has been busy in the studio creating even more new material since Relapse was released. “I got back in with Dre and then a few more producers, including Just Blaze, and went in a completely different direction which made me start from scratch. The new tracks started to sound very different than the tracks I originally intended to be on Relapse 2, but I still want the other stuff to be heard.”

Em confirmed in interviews that the Relapse 2 material is much different than Relapse 1 (as also seen above). It’s more serious. Not in the Slim Shady serious way but the Marshall Mathers serious way which is why he’s re-releasing Relapse 1 with these new tracks originally intended for Relapse 2 so Relapse 2 will be in its own different way and he’s constantly working on it which is great cause it shows he still has it on top of dropping a great album earlier this year from being away for 4 1/2 years.

em just killed it at the amas. he performed crack a bottle with 50 and his verse in forever. not enough can be said for how incredble his verse is in forever, from his flow to his lyrics from his fast paced tempo to the most important part..his intensity and heart in the verse. get used to the eminem in forever because his flow and drive in forever is what almost every song on relapse 2 is gonna sound like. which in my opinion will shut up all the people that hated or werent into Relapse, which was a great album, but just seemed decent because its in the shadow of his other albums. Im excited for Refill and cant wait for Relapse 2!

Do you think he would actually put out something of the quality of infinite and expect people to go bonkers for it? Hell noo….Either way these new tracks from refill are just a taste of whats about to come. These are his “throwaway” tracks from Relapse. He has stated that during Relapse he started getting sharper with tracks like “stay wide away, underground etc” and those were some of the best ones lyrically on Relapse. It doesn’t take a music scholar to know that some of EM’s songs aren’t about something on a deeper lever. As most rappers content is not. Lupe’s generally are deeper. Even the songs where he’s going harder. Like his freestyle to “turnt up” Go to youtube and listen to everything he says (turnt up freestyle). Its amazing. If you’re into the music, they both are Amazing but Lupe may seem too caught up on making a point. In the end it will come down to musical tastes. Lastly.
