Cymarshall provides his own version of Boo Boo’s “Crime Wave.” Question: I’ve not even bothered unzipping listening to Before I Self Destruct, so I ask the peanut gallery of c-boys for their thoughts on it.

BISD is crack…definitely ranks among 50’s better work..he redeemed himself from curtis
Its fine, if you want to hear 50 rap through his teeth every song and want to hear how “hard” he is in these streets. Or how he will kill you with a vast array of weapons. its pretty much the same song every track.
honestly, i believe bisd to be 50 cent’s first steps to becoming a good hip-hop artist again. Far from trash, this album is lightyears better than that curtis trash and i believe it to be better than the massacre as well. I will be purchasing a copy on 11/17. I will purchase a 50 cent album for the first time since get rich or die trying.
It’s definitely his second best album. Curtis was such trash I never thought I’d listen to 50 again but I gave it a spin and most of it is pretty good, not including two or three tracks of bullshit.
yeah meka its definitely worth listening to i think youll like it
yeah its light years better than Curtis. Im a fan of the massacre, and I would say Its even to that. Not GRODT like 50 seems to think, but its close.
I normally don’t fuck with 50 at all, but BISD is actually pretty legit. His best album since GRODT.
That said, you’re better off just listening to better rappers destroy all of his instrumentals. How many rappers went in on Ok, Ya Dead way more than 50? Like 10? Fuck, even Papoose went hard on that. Same deal with Crime Wave.
i think the dopeboyz/girlz are reaching a lil!! BISD dont hold a candle 2 “get rich” (50 himself said it would b more aggressive) uhhhh its not. its not his worst but its most def.not his best
you guys are some fuckin tweeks… his 2nd best album? what?!?! kill yourself…… BISD is nowhere near get rich OR the massacre… Meka i honestly believe you shouldnt waste your time. theres 1 or 2 songs i likeD “emphasise on the D” i gave the album 1 good listen to moved on with my life…
BISD is a banger, I definitely recommend checking it out. It’s a solid album that pretty much trumps all his other shit except for GRODT…..
Yo These Niggas Is Hatin’… I Was Just Like You Meka… I Didn’t Wanna Download The Shit But I’m A Die Hard G Unit Fan In NYC And I Had Too Lol… Its A Banger Minus “Baby By Me” & “Get It Hot”… “Strong Enough”, “Gangstas Delight” And “Do You Think About Me” Will Be In Heavy Rotation On My Ipod…
Cymarshall is Beastin on the Game right now! this track is hard but his 10 bricks shit might be iller!! 50 album is your average 50…. Cy is fire!
I Will Still Be Buyin’ Thi Album On Tuesday… Go Cotto!!! Boriqua…
BISD is a good, solid album..it will sell well over a million copies and alot of people will be back on the 50 train. The one thing i wanted 50 to do with his music is get more creative with, since he really only raps about topic it gets really repetitive, but i think he went hard on this. He talks shit about game and young buck which is always cool, and the track with Em is straight fire. Though i think he should lay up off the love songs a little, he has about 3 or 4 of them and none are “21 questions” good. Not nearly as good as GRODT, though i think there are songs on here that are better than the massacre and vise versa, so thats a toss up. A good way to close up his career, so he says.
peanut gallery eh? nice way to address your site supporters… Interesting perspective that though your not a fan of recent work you wouldn’t take the time to at least give BISD a quick listen if you’re considering yourself of being a good hip-hop journalist of sorts… Yes it is way better than curtis, a bit shy of massacre and of course nothing will touch Get rich or die trying… Being far to busy to review one of rap music’s most powerful artist’s recent work is something reflective of work ethic eh?
and paying attention to “peanut gallery” opinions would do far more harm than good in establishing some sense of perspective with curtis jackson’s recent work…
@Gyft
This Nigga Don’t Wanna Listen To It Till It Comes Out… Whats With The Hostility… Nigga You On HIS Site… STFU…
I aint’ unzipped BISD yet either, but I will this weekend… I’ma get drunk, puff some goodness and peep it for myself. From the reviews I’ve been reading the album does sound promising. I liked Crime Wave… but yeah, 50’s got artists ripping his tracks up left right n’ centre, kind of like he did when he came out and did his own versions of all the popular joints at the time.
