after listening to the tape, it lived up to Wiz’s statement of being an “unexpected mixtape”. Now am I upset (as a fan) that the tape had trascs on it that dropped between his last 3 mixtapes? Yeah.
But does it qualify as a failure overall? Not at all.
I see this mixtape as a way for new fans to see what he’s done this year and hardcore fans to see what he has in store for his upcoming projects. Since POTC1, Wiz has progressed quite much as an artist. From rapping about selling coke and blasting on people to subject matter he deals with (Weed, Money, Women). Although it’s cliche,its still common with today’s society in some facet of life.
