By the looks of this – and by accounts from other people I’ve talked to – the BET Hip Hop Awards looks to be another laughable, skippable affair. Props to Charley.

when is it ever not a laughable, skippable affair?
Last year Shawty Lo made an ass out of himself. Shouting out Tip then the next day video footage surfaces of him and his boys talking mad shit about Tip. The opening last year was pretty good other than B.o.B. was sounding nervous doing the hook of On Top Of The World. Then people went nuts when they premiered a small part of Last Of A Dying Breed then an unfinished version leaked along with 2 other tracks from Luda’s album and he was pissed off. Other than that the show was garbage. And if I’m not mistaken, didn’t they close it out with Soulja Boy and Bow Wow performing Marco Polo??? Or was that another show???
The only reason to watch the BET awards is to watch the cypher.
