Nas is incredible. Other than Biggie, Pac and Jigga, his lyrics reflect what’s happening in the real world, more than imagination. He’s like the Bob Dylan of hip-hop, and that’s the only way I can put it, but that is IF you all know who Bob Dylan is haha. He basically JUST defended all hip-hop lyrics from the evil media in a very logical way.
Yea, like he said violence has been around before hip-hop even came into existence. Hip-Hop is just a reflection of what’s going on out there. Just like any other gangster movies like Scarface, Godfather or whatever.

Yeah… OK… I’m a nerdy ass kid, myself attending grad school who grew up in New York City, listened to hip-hop / rock growing up, played violent ass video games, watched my fair share of gangster/horror movies and I was not affected by music, etc the way people make it seem to be. and in no way does ANYTHING ever in the entertainment business influence the way a human being on this earth acts. if you look at all the mass-murderers that supposedly were inspired by entertainment, wether music, video games, even books, usually have a mental disability, live in a daily struggle, have problems at home, ended up in a bad relationship, or are bullied at school.
