2. Its ok, it just always seems like he’s trying too hard. Almost like he’s trying to re-create the splash Kanye did when he first jumped on the scene as a Rapper. Like Kanye, Banner is much better as a beat maker and producer.

4. The goal is to go back to real music, and get away from industry hijacked nonsense, and focus on real issues and topics…to get away from making disposable music and get back to helping teach and provide message.

   hmm i wish hip hop would go back to this ^^^ but who would buy the records? clearly you can see that most of the people buying the records dont want message music they just want a dance or someone saying how much drugs they “sell” or “have sold”. i wish real hip hop was out there though but there’s only few artists

6. haha yea, do yall realize he’s fuckin with the bloggers and the fans of “conscious”, because his old core audience that loved his disposable music moved onto a newer/flashier rapper with disposable music. So now it’s “I want music with a message” when the other shit won’t sell? and of course, get 9th and it’s official and everybody that eats only what the blogs give em will love it.

7. ^^^ I guess you guys haven’t been listening to Banner the whole time…I bet half of you guys only know of DB from Shawty Say or Play…but I guess you guys missed “Firewater” “Mississippi”, “Cadillacs on 22’s” parts 1 & 2, “The Christmas Song”, “No Denyin”, “When You Hear What I Got To Say”, “Thats Life” etc etc etc. Back when he was first coming out (shit when he was with Kamizaze in CROOKED LETTAZ), he had some “conscious” or “heartfelt” tracks along with those bouncin, party & club tracks…Banner has always been like that, real contradictory like ala 2Pac or DMX…you get the deep meaning tracks with the party tracks, thats just how he is. He did that damn C-SPAN Hip Hop hearing when most “conscious” rappers wouldn’t even step up and say anything…come on now, listen and pay attention HARDER.

9. I don’t like this song. The chorus doesn’t do it for me and the beat is a little off (don’t know why). I support an artists creativity and trying to do something new, but it may be a little late for him. He did too much wack shit for me to look at him seriously (but that could change)

15. it’s obvious that most of y’all haven’t heard anything from David Banner other than his hit singles…..this man has always tried to put out music with a message, but he never got any support from his label or his “fans”. But unlike most “conscious” rappers, he had the ablity to make hit records, so he did.

    I’m glad he’s finally saying “fuck it” and making the music he’s been wanting to make.
