I guess people feel like DISNEY or NICK is a bad thing now, but like 30 years ago, young stars like this would have just been in the mainstream music scene because there was no market for them (I actually liked it better like that. I never thought I’d be standing up for these artists, but the fact that you said “rotting our kids minds” was just mad crazy to me because I’d rather my kids (when I have them) listen to some positive ish like what some of these kid/teen artists make vs. Always Strapped or something. I teach an audio class of like 5th Graders and I didn’t really understand the full extent of the influence of negative music until I worked there. 11 year old girls talking about “licking lolipops” and what not.

Plus, Taylor is a country singer. Country is a dope genre that had to go threw some of the same things hip hop had to go through to get mass appeal and mainstream recognition.
Overall, this is not an argument about the artists’ music or ages, it is really about one human being BEING aware of another human being’s feelings and what not.
