Shouts to the homie Sam:
Hip Hop, VideoMike Posner stopped by the iHipHop offices to discuss his new deal with J Records, Why he doesn’t feel like he’s “made” it yet, and how pop music doesn’t have to be corny. Mike also identifies with the new multicultural genre by citing Outkast and Paul Simon as influences. He also stresses the importance of writing his own music to avoid the incestuous tendencies of pop music.

pop music not corny!! HMMM
“Pop Music with Blunts~!”
sums up mike posner pretty damn well…i like i like
“SLOGAN ME!”
pop music with blunts…haha…. mikes voice does get annoying sometimes….. but i still enjoy his music for that same reason, the originality… put him and big sean on a track and i’m g.o.o.d
i like being able to have watched so many of these new artists from the beginning of their career. it makes me feel like i’m about of something when i go out to buy their albums
@ truth…I agree 100%…All of us younger hip hop fans (I’m 20) focus on acts such as Jay-Z, Nas, Outkast..and the list goes on. yet we weren’t around for the come up and growth. Thats why I’m happy to be supporting acts such as Posner, Big Sean, Wale, Kid Cudi and Slaughterhouse.
i wouldnt put slaughterhouse in the category you just put them in @2 Cents…..they just dont belong with that group.
