Let The Story Begin: The Making Of D.O.A. w/ No I.D. (Video)

C/O Zach Wolfe:

Recently we got to catch up with No I.D. about the making of “Death Of Auto-Tune.” We caught him while in Atlanta, on a brief stop before he headed back to New York to finish up Jay-Z’s highly anticipated BluePrint 3 album. This interview takes place at the St. Regis Hotel in the famous Buckhead region of Atlanta.

Props to Andrew.

  3. the new jacks don’t know what hip-hop is bout NO ID track it’s truth Hiphop the way he chop it out!!! the way J flow ‘everything

  4. I always thought the “too far” was about dudes taking it too far with the colors and clothes. I didn’t realize it was Kanye saying Jay went too far.

  5. NO I.D. is one dope shit producer.
I mean, you can’t deny that the production on 808’s was overly dope.

  6. I’m glad to see him getting a little more credit for his contributions to hip hop finally. From his early shit with Common to his solo work (the original Black Album) to the best beat of ‘09 so far, this dude has always had talent.

  7. So what is the sample he used? thought he was gonna say..

  8. janko nilovic ‘in the space’ is the sample. it sounds like dj khalil might have sampled the beginning for the beginning of Kinda Like A Big Deal aswell!

  9. in lehman’s terms… this is a fuck you to all you kids that talk shit about the 90’s… and grew up on some hipster trendy ass garbage with no respect.

  10. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKIN’ @ london boy
