Maino’s If Tomorrow Comes is in stores now. I’m sure there’s plenty of copies at your local music shop, seeing as how he sold 18k the first week too. Had he dropped the album during “Hi Hater’s” heat wave, things would have been different. But what do I know, I’m just a guy who co-runs this site, not a failing record exec..
Hip Hop, Video

It’s a shame he didn’t sell more, because the album is actually really good. It’s cohesive and follows in a good progressive order musically. It doesn’t just sound like a bunch of tracks thrown together like most hip-hop albums these days.
BROOKLYN GO HARD REAL NIGGAS NEVER SELL AS MUCH AS THESE BUBBLE GUM NIGGAS THESE DAYS
the labels are too cautious to release when the buzz is hot… they still need to see more numbers and get expert advise on trends…plus Maino probaly thought he would takeover the summer by releasing late June…lol…not hardly
naaa durin hi hater is when i didnt pay attention ta him…..it was like a soulja boy song where all u hear is da chorus haha
but frreal he prolly da only east coast nigga i’d listen to other than Nas
this song states what everyone that has been broke with no money understands that it is only right to make sure people have money
cool, 80!
^at the same time fuck maino
Where is Joe Buttons dis? What happened?
I thought he is mr beef and freestyle king?
I still aint hear no comeback.
I guess he cant find his ghostwriters.
What a joke. Wu-tang clan aint nuthin to fdduck with
Plus MJ passing had something to do with it but Maino’s album just took way too long to come out. I predicted he wouldn’t sell much and I was right. Maybe next time he’ll have his shit straight and not cut off hot tracks from the album.
i think he woulda sold 18k with hi hater at its peak also
If there even is a 2nd album 18,000 is pretty low
I don’t really like Maino but Michael’s death overshadowed certain albums that came out.
co-sign Steve_Rollin, but I think a lot of artists expect more from their label than they acutally get marketingwise (or used to get…). I’d love to see more artists doing more marketing moves, using stuff like twitter and facebook for and with the fans, because at the end of the days, these are the people who will buy the album.
However Maino’s album is really good, I don’t care about numbers!
sad really… cuz its a pretty gud album… shuda promoted himself more
maino = garbage
sorry to say it, but he is
Maino seems like a good dude, but son cant rap for shit…like really, dude cant rap. Atlantic would’ve been better off dropping saigons album.
didn’t hi hater and the remix video drop in september when the album was scheduled for october, then got pushed back to december with no promotion in between and then another 5 months later they finally start promoting it again for a june release sounds kind of retarded for promotion purposes. nice to see red cafe in the video.
technically if he dropped the album after the hi hater trend, and just followed up on promotional videos for the other singles he probably could’ve gone at least gold by now
