The only valid point o’reilly had was how peter king was labeled a racist for calling him a pedophile. otherwise everything he said was contradictory and towards the end racial. Bill O’reilly never was black therefore he cant understand how a man with white skin (who was black) is a black american icon when he cant fucking see past the color of his skin !!!

I think you all missed the key remark Dr Lamont said.

“quintessentially he[michael jackson] is a American Icon”..
meaning he is ultimately an american icon regardless of what anyone says about him, however, that does not stray from the fact that he is “black”. Therefore I don’t think its wrong for anyone to call him a Black Icon or whatever–regardless of a black or white person is saying it. Hell, Babe Ruth is considered a white icon and I’m sure no black person would argue or be mad that anyone would say it.

On the flip side, I do agree we shouldn’t have to label something “black”, just to show ownership to that object. And I think thats what get people, because they dont get how possessive and proud black folks are of their own…

I do agree with Dj iLL statement, that most people say “pulling the race card” just to smite power out of an argument.
