In the latest video segment with XXL, Curtis praises Method Man as Wu-Tang’s best MC. And I’d have to disagree. Although he’s my favorite of the crew, he’s not “the best” in terms of emcee’n IMO.

but 50 knows that he cant do a buddens and take on the whole wu tang clan and their fans-bad enough him and Gza had some shit goin on but i think that jus got squashed as quickly as it got started imo
I concur with Curtis. Meth is still the most exciting dude to listen to outta that fam, I think 8 diagrams proved that. Ghost gets a close second.

I remember in the 90’s… the heads were talking about Inspectah Deck being the lyrical swordsman but from what i occur that hype eventually died down when wu started falling off musically. Meth is the face of Wu for me… man has a lot of charisma and dare i say this term… “swag” ?!? lol. but yea… honorable mentions to gza and ghost… i did enjoy rza because he was always droppin lots of knowledge.

You on that sherm if you still think Deck is near the top. That dude still raps like it’s ‘98. He’s stuck 10 years behind the rest of the game, and doesn’t have the extra charisma to pull it off. Ghostface is #1 in the Wu. Both with the group albums and the solo material. Rae is dope too but will always play 2nd fiddle to ghost. Even in this vid 50 is talking like the purple tape is a ghost album haha.
I have to say though that rae feat. MOP and KGR – ill figures has been on the tracklist for a while… DOPE!

Great rapper = rhymes words together while using difficult rhyme schemes, candences and complex syllable patterns.
Great lyricists = is a good or great rapper who actually conveys substance (a message/point/focus ) in their rhymes.
Great MC = Good lyricist who can control a crowd by entertaining them.
Rae is boring live. Ghost is cool but no one in Wu-Tang can stand next to Method Man as an MC. Are there better lyricists? Yes. Are there better rappers in the Wu? Yes, but there are no better MC’s then Method Man in the Wu.
Why the fuck does 50 Cent look at the dude with that face every single time he makes a statement? I’ve seen each segment of this XXL interview, and it looks like 50 is dying to get a reaction out of him every time he says something. Its like, he says something, pauses, looks at the dude for a reaction [and the dude just looks at him like "whatever, state your opinion"], sees he gets no reaction, and keeps talking his crap. That all looks so fucking corny.
To me, I like Meth’s delivery the best. His punchlines are on a different level!
