It turns out the previous version was deemed “too obscure” so Darkie was enlisted again for the official artwork of Drake’s single. Which is now available on iTunes and you can purchase during any second of the day. So do it!

Yeah, I saw this surface a few days ago. Good stuff.
Initial statement for anybody inquiring:
I see a lot of people on iTunes ask WHY BUY THIS SINGLE or WHY IS IT ON iTUNES if it was on a free mixtape.
I guess this would just be my theory of reasoning, but I would say if you support the artist who has gave all of this free music to you, what’s 99 cents to buy the single and eventually buy the album? Drake’s obviously pushing it as the lead single for his upcoming album as well, and so he had to do an official release. Even those of us who have had it sinec Feb. should buy it if you’ve dug the song and it has been in heavy rotation for you.
It’s all about supporting the artists. As an artist myself, I feel I’m going to put my forthccoming album out free online, but also leave an option for people to purchase. That gives choices and also those who have real support and intergrity will come thru.
Sorry for the rant Shake…lol. Just something that was on my mind.

its all ready in itunes top 10 songs…i used to play this shit at house parties months ago when it first came out and people always wanted me to switch songs…those same people love the song ever since it hit radio. SMH.

…but not really. This is one of the inherent problems with the current “give-everything-away-for-free” model with the music business. My reasoning does NOT follow that way. There has to be a better method.
