Sha Stimuli – Follow the Leader

First the Grafh x Cassidy record, then Slaughterhouse, now this? It must be go-the-fuck-in-night, holy shit! Despite what’s said in the beginning, it’s clear who this track is aimed towards. Damn, applaud Sha for this!

  1. I dig what he’s saying, but the execution lyrically was just “ehh”. Tough beat though

  2. sha!

  3. wow I tuned into 2dope at just the right time

  4. Sha went in!

  5. who is he talkin about???

  6. I haven’t even listened to this song and I already know it’s about Hov. When will rappers realize it’s up to them to get on. NO ONE ELSE…PERIOD! Did Marlo ask Avon for a hand out? Nah, he took that shit. If yall niggas want a shot then take it. If you’ve been taking it for years and still in the same psition then take it for what it’s worth. Some niggas aint meant to blow on that level. Some niggas are destined for underground status. It’s just the nature of the beast. The sooner these dudes realize that the better.

  7. ^^if you actually take the time to listen, its not about hov not putting him on.

  8. ^^stop talking. if you listen to the record before you type then you’ll see it has nothing to do with Hov not puttin him on.

  9. nvm… looks like shake beat me to it (do i have to pause that?)

  10. haha… great minds..

  11. He said it’s not a diss record & I don’t think it is. To me he’s not dissing Hov he’s dissing all the punks who jump on trends, he’s just using Hov as an example cuz he was always so influential. He mentioned Kanye too & his skinny jeans

  12. Fire… Sha is one of the more thoughtful rappers I have ever listened to. He continues to impress…

  13. [...] Shots fired at Hov. Props to Shake. [...]

  14. I’m saying the only reason he wants to open his mouth about Hov (or any successful rapper for that matter) is cuz he aint in their position. Look just let niggas live! I’m tired of these psuedo-Hip Hop “purists” nerds running around like everyone else is killing the game. At the end of the day if you were really as ill as you think you are you would’ve put an ened to that shit on your on. But the truth is maost heads aint fucking these niggas like that. Sha is a decent rappe r but there’s much more to being an artist than just rapping.

And that’s the part he (and most underground artist_ fail at so they complain. Niggas just be sounding bitter.

  15. I said the same thing about people listening to Jay when a bunch of people been saying “stop auto-tuning”. Thats all Hip HOp does is follow others. Much love to Sha and every one else who been anti-autotune.

  16. I like the lyrics a lot. The flow is off and on; kinda slurring.
Who’s he talking ’bout in his examples? Or is he being general?

  17. [...] Shots fired at Hov. Props to Shake. [...]

  18. This sound like a classic joint. More because of the beat. :)

  20. listen fool. first of all. if you know sha’s body of work – you know this is an off flow for him. stop acting like you dont know this man goes in,.
second of all. this shit is deeper than jay. third. if you read his old interviews you know that their is a whole lot more between the professional relationshp of sha and jay the nmost know about. but if u check interviews out u’llsee.
this shit is hard though “i aint trying to bring back ether”

  21. The track’s not really about Hov at all…it’s about the people that copy him (or whoever else is popular) more than anything. It’s dissing trend followers, not trend starters like Jay. I think Sha’s just frustrated that people all get stuck on the same shit until Jay says it’s time to go another way. Good song, not a great beat though.

  22. ok, u want the same influence over the masses as hov has/had, make records that are jus as versatile and love and dope to the world as hov has done for the last 15 years, cmon man niggas need to look to themselves and their fanbase to blame, fans are hypocrites and lames who say they want something but don’t fiscally support it, the majors only fuck wit dollars, not rap nerds….i was @ the barber shop yesterday and every video i saw playin on 106 & park were trash, but bein supported by the labels because the songs on there have ppl supporting it, if u lames would get behind ur artists and support then financially, maybe the majors would support them too

until then Fuck u and ur snub hop attitude and BP3 this sept bitches

  23. 100

  24. ya i like sha but whatever on the people who think this isn’t cuz sha been hatin on hov

  25. Sha Stimuli FTW, Brooklyn where you at?!?!

  26. “ok, u want the same influence over the masses as hov has/had, make records that are jus as versatile and love and dope to the world as hov has done”
