I was actually looking forward to the War Angel LP. Still am in a way but this song is stuck in a time capsule from 2005 at the very latest. I applaud 50 for doing what he does rather than trying to force the issue to create a poppy new hit (which he’s been consistently failing at for a few years now) but this is the cycle of entertainment and he’s just not relevant anymore. I know I don’t want to hear this type of music now.. or at least in the same recycled package he’s been feeding it to us.
Black Milk’s flip of this sample was WAY better but this beat is OK.
As for 50, I consider myself a fan of his music, but his content definitely needs a makeover. Enough of this murder gang bullshit man, how bout making positive music instead of murder, murder, murder, kill, kill, kill.
