CHARLES HAMILTON DID NOT EVEN STEAL THE BEAT. LIKE MANY COMMON PRODUCERS IN HIP HOP, HE SAMPLED IT. LISTEN CLOSELY TO EACH OF THE INSTRUMENTAL, CHARLES HAMILTON ADDED DIFFERENT INSTRUMENTALS THAN TO WHAT BLACK SPADE HAD AND USED DIFFERENT PARTS. IF CHARLES HAMILTON STOLE THIS BEAT AND USED IT AS HIS, YOU GUYS ARE SAYING THAT J-DILLA, WHO WAS A BEAT-MAKING PIONEER IS A BEAT-MAKING THIEF. THINK ABOUT IT.

the fact remains that he doesn’t know dilla or his mom. Then there’s no need to say anything.

Have a line in your liner notes saying, “thank you to dilla for giving me the inspiration to do my music”…not, “Dilla produced my shit, thanks ma dukes”….which by the way, is a nickname for Dilla’s mom which I’m sure is/was used as a term of endearment to people who know her.

In Detroit, Dilla created an entire scene and sound of the city. Every cat, new and old from the city looked up to him and was influenced by his sound. Dilla is a Detroit legend and everyone loved him.

There was no need for Charles Hamilton to say anything about Dilla other than what I said he should say in his liner notes.

Everyone look on youtube for the interview where Jay Electronica speaks on how Dilla influenced him. THAT is paying homage and showing respect…not what this claffy CH did.
