Family Guy is terrible. It’s full of flashbacks that mean nothing. The show has no plot and goes in no direction. It’s entertaining…when nothing else is on.

Family Guy is hilarious and different to other shit…. the flashbacks ARE NOT supposed to mean anything. Meh, haters will always disagree…not even haters… I guess it’s a matter of taste, so it’s like whatever. But yeah, I’m interested regardless….
the flashbacks do mean something. if you were versed in literature and film you would be able to pick up on how good family guy really is and everything it alludes to. family guy is a pop culture vault. it references everything going on right now. years from now people will watch and be able to tell exactly what was going in the world years. what do you rappers do? take random popular occurrences and allude to them forming metaphors? the one who is best at this is usually referred to as the best rapper?
no plot? plots are sometimes thin, but it always has a message. no form of entertainment is allowed to be on tv without meaning. they teach classes on family. there’s a reason every episode has a portion where they start to sing or dance. why they let peter fight the chicken. why stewie wants to kill his mother and you cant tell if he is gay or not.
i dont even like family guy that much. i watch it. but it pisses me off with a lot of the racism. when family guy is history and america has finally truly progressed passed racism, family guy will be left behind as a tarnished reminder. its still funny shit though.

Southpark isn’t racist? What about all the Jew cracks, and trailer trash – Cartman is the biggest racist on TV. But racism in limited form, is hilarious. Probably 1/4 of all comedy is racist in that it plays off stereotypes of different people. Chappelle’s show was arguable very racist … but it was the most laugh out loud show on TV at the time (and arguably, still). It’s only funny when it’s true, and it’s good we can all laugh at ourselves.
