Let’s go vintage for a bit. URB just put up this electronic press kit for De La’s seminal album. I enjoy things like these, because it allows those who weren’t around to witness it personally when it dropped over a decade-plus ago a glimpse into what it was like.

  13. already said … dope! the feeling and freshness that groups such as delasoul, tribe called quest, arrested development, etc is being redeemed in rappers such as cudi, wale, charles hamilton etc. This is not a new movement, yet it shows hip hop fans that rap music is a cycle and hip hop is NOT dead. As long artist stay creative and innovative the genre of hip hop will never go away.

Uhh dope vid and all…I love this epk…but its been on youtube for yrs lol…that being said, its def req source material to mcs that it still takes a lot more than rec and fallin back waitin for things to happen…its a lot of planning etc that goes into taking it to the next level, from just music, to a movement.
