  1. I want that shirt!

  2. How could you not?

  3. Man, what these four guys got in common is that they really got screwed by the industry.

I really hope they achieve more success so the dumbasses who short changed them will see what they missed out on.

Labels can crank out all these “hits” all they want to, But at the end of the day, you gotta be consistent with music as well.

Especially when people will download first, to give cds a taste test.

    These brothas are consistent.

Bun’s II Trill is constantly on repeat, and I can’t wait for his appearance on Street Hop.

  4. Joell and Royce are cool with Bun so one of them probally gave him a shirt support the movement!

  5. ^^crook too

  6. I don’t know I mean the idea of the shirt and what it represents is dope but I really don’t know about the shirt itself. It looks like a 5th grader put it together. The black shirt that has slaughterhouse in white and red is too sick. I want that shirt.

  7. 4SHO…CROOK SHOUTED HIM OUT DURING HIS HHW SERIES…I THINK ON “I CHOOSE YOU” FREESTYLE” HOW ONPOINT WAS THAT? ANYBODY KNOW?

  8. This is inspirational to see!!! 100%

No shot at Bun B but does the “B” stands for “Belly”? lol real talk

it’s funny u say that cuz alotta ppl blame hov for def jam and say he should have tried to work with joe budden on gettin his album out

but this is the same hov WHO also signed and supported The Roots to Def Jam…and lets remember the roots are less commercially appealing to the masses than joe budden….even the Black Though>Mouse

point is we don’t know the buisness as much as we’d like to…maybe there was a particular reason in each case why these cats could not deliver a major label lp

u can say jeezy, kanye, rhianna, ne-yo and whoever else…
but remember hov gave u The Roots too…so obviously there was no commercial bias

  11. bun should join slaughterhouse! i’d love to see them add a south emcee and a bostom emcee like reks or term. while the music they are making is fucking amazing, i still think them adding 2-3 members would make them unstoppable.

  12. Ummm… what does Jigga got to do with what I wrote.

Besides, Jay-Z wasn’t the only person running Def Jam. Also,
has The Roots found any REAL success with Def Jam that they weren’t having before?

The Roots are dope, but they haven’t had any real promotion/support from Def Jam than before they was on the label.

Shit… they probably had even less.

“point is we don’t know the buisness as much as we’d like to…maybe there was a particular reason in each case why these cats could not deliver a major label lp”

Yea, you got a point BUT…

Joe had a 2 hits, Pump It Up & Fire w/ Busta Rhymes & went Gold with first LP. Yet he had to wait damn near 6 years to get 2nd album out, that wasn’t even on Def Jam. Something a lil’ suspect bout that.

Royce had Eminem exec produce his first album, made an appearance on a song with him. Royce had big name production from The Neptunes, & was on a major back then who could promote him well.
Then they started to wonder how they could promote a married man?!
That is straight up suspect within itself.

Joell had AFTERMATH backing him, released material to keep himself afloat. Had a buzz with his song “Hip-Hop” and the vid was actually in rotation on BET at the time. He built a buzz
yet Interscope doesn’t even give him a release date. Once again, suspect.

Crooked… well his downfall wasn’t anyone’s fault really except Suge, maybe.

Crooked had signed to Death Row when that label was starting to crumble, plus they started to get affiliated with Murder Inc, who was beefing with the whole Shady/Aftermath/G-Unit label at the time.
Crooked was a victim of unfortunate circumstance with that situation. But still with all the versatility he displays and he’s still not signed. Just weird.

Everything here doesn’t had up. Granted, like you said earlier, I don’t know EVERYTHING. But I’ve heard my fair share of shit, and nothing really adds up.

  13. 2 or 3 more members is wayyyy too many lol
you want a new Wu-tang dont you… cuz thats what its gonna look like if another joins the crew

im happy the way that shit is…and it would be crazy if they kept bustin songs out with guess ft…

a song with FAB…another with Bun… than Pusha… Jada or blah blah.. ya see where im coming from

  14. ^ a 7 member group?

  15. I love slaughterhouse but that shirt is ugly.

  16. bun b co-signed crooked on the “life after death row” dvd documentary

  17. awwready.
i bet crook hooked him up.

  18. @ huh……”that they really got screwed by the industry.”

nah with that line i jus know that a few fans would look @ label heads including hov as being part of the problem in the industry…even joey tried to blame hov….”if u aint jeezy or kanye u won’t get the time or day” joey said that….and my response was jus like there are plenty of reasons why we can feel bad that these cats didn’t get their just due when it came to the industry but with Mouse…i was pointin out that hov was not an issue with the industry, cuz questlove admitted that hov was the one who signed them and seeked them out to come to Def Jam…no1 else…and quest told interviewers that hov told them to make their music and not commercial music….
which makes me ask myself once again…”why couldn’t these cats deliver a product to be sold on a major?”

as far as royce goes he tried his best with tommy boy with “you can’t touch me”….but he got bootlegged so that sucked

crooked I couldn’t make a song for the masses to save his life…

and joell should have never signed to a label who’s main three priorities were snail-moving as far as album making, makin him wait for along time to even be told his shit aint comin out anytime soon

this shit is a buisness…know ur music and decide what is the best way to deliver ur product to ur fans, if u aint versitile enough to write a song for the masses…stick to the indies, if u good at tap dancing…the majors is for u

by the way Joe Budden dropped his sophmore album and it sucked, maybe hov had a point in not droppin any of his material…maybe he still has work to do when it comes to makin an LP

  19. First off, Royce released Rock City on Columbia. Which was heavily bootlegged (like you said). But he made Rock City 2.0 with some different material as well, yet, his ass somehow got shifted to Koch.

But with the rest of what you said, I see sorta see where you’re coming from.

But this one quote is debatable.

“by the way Joe Budden dropped his sophmore album and it sucked, maybe hov had a point in not droppin any of his material…maybe he still has work to do when it comes to makin an LP”

Just because you thought it sucked doesn’t mean others do.
That’s just you stating your opinion.

  20. slaughterhouse is dope period, people gettin wrapped up in industry shit surrounding the group is kinda opposite of what i think all the members would want, fans that are fans for the music

  21. i thought they replaced budden with bun b. that would of been sick. aint no southern representation in slaughterhouse. you gotta get rid of the emo faggot

  22. Ok, so we havin posts contining nothing but the choice of a rapper’s t-shirt?

    That’s rich

  23. “Ok, so we havin posts contining nothing but the choice of a rapper’s t-shirt?”

sure am. and since its MY blog, ill continue to do so.

  24. ^^^ see what happens when you get on shake? we didn’t have this problem 3 months ago

  26. Well Sir, as a sincere Slaughterhouse fan and also as a anti dickrider I hope you’re proud of what you’re accomplishing.
