Mos Def – Say You Will (Kanye West Cover)

Here’s something that’s just ridiculously ill. Dante Mos Def covered Kanye’s “Say You Will” in January at New York’s Blue Room Cafe. And this is just one of the many reasons I need out of California. Extra props to All The Way Live.

  3. Nasty….

  4. very dope. nice quality too. kinda makes up for a shitty performance from the bulls. fuck vinny del negro.

  5. too wack of audio to really bump this

  6. It wasn’t Vinny’s fault, the bulls plain sucked tonight haha

  7. @Jimbo
boston figured us out. and i’ve been saying fuck vinny all year lol. he can’t manage his time outs for shit, and been doing all that defensive switching all year. and yes the bulls did play like shit.

  8. is anyone else only getting this out of one headphone

  9. YES YES YES YES YESSSSSS!!!
    I was there for this.
I thought the shit was TOO ill!

  10. Yeah he ran out of timeouts the first two games…I’m not complaining I am a celtics fan and I feel we could use any thrown bone at this point hah

  11. is anyone else only getting this out of one headphone

    ===================================================

Im getting it out of both homey, shitty quality though.

  12. this is dope man Mos Def is one of my Favorite artist ever

  13. a studio version with the band playin it exactly like this would be sooo crazzy

  14. 1st off – big fan of mos def
with that said… …. ……WHAT THE FUCK is this BS?
I can honestly say this is the worst shit from Mos I’ve ever heard, and I’ve heard some fail poetry
he killed Brooklyn, but this track he shoulda left untouched
besides, drake’s altered version “say what’s real” killed kanye’s

  15. [...] 808’s & Heartbreak rec. at NYC’s Blue Note back in January DOWNLOAD HERE via-2dbz/AllTheWayLive addthis_url = [...]

  16. ^^..really?? not even gonna say much cause i believe everyone is entitled to their opinion..but woooow..REALLY!?!?

anyways..mighty mos just did his thing. that was a real classic moment right there, you can always expect mos to hold down anything that’s handed to him and that’s exactly what he did. like it was said, a studio version done exactly like this would be so dope in a major way.
shouts to my poetic role model(and favorite rappers of all time) mos def..

  17. Holy SHIT! This is dope!

  18. This guys is timeless. Shouts to the band

  19. does anybody know who the band was?

  20. Woah.

  21. why don’t you post that video of mos talkin’ all that crazy mess in the street about how he’s the best freestyler, and he calls out all those names??????

  22. yo hes called the black dante? thats bonifide badass….after dante algieri?btw. this is ill and cali is amazinf ny is amzing…depends on how long u been in cali..it might be a time for a change

  23. yo, he did this @ the jazz festival in cape town! he killed it…way better than Ye, he also did stakes is high…brilliant show

  24. this is nice. if you cant vibe to this youre illin.. i can imagine what the audience was on when this started.

  25. and drake did not murder this harder than Ye… these out the woodwork drake bandwagoners are annoying me.

  26. How can you even compare Drakes version to Kanye’s, Drake rapped the whole thing (if I remember correctly), and Kanye did his singing thing. I thought Big Sean did his thing over the beat, oh and this cover is pretty sick. MOs is a beast.

  27. This shit is so soulful. I hope the Mos we all know and love is comin back for the Ecstatic.
