One On One w/ Ja Rule pt.1 (Video)

“I’m not rehashing the beef…I can give a fuck about Curly.”

And we’re really not supposed to believe that, despite the fact your entire verse on this damned song was about Fiddy? He must also attend the university of delusions of grandeur Ricky does. SHAKE’S THOUGHTS: A weekly series from Ja? Oh fuck… I quit.

  1. Ha, dude ended your career with some vicious diss records, and a few years later – you could give a fuck about him? No wonder Ja is dead to the world. He fell off after the records stopped about him, just disappeared like Cam’Rpn until an album was coming out – then it flopped and he’s gone again. smh.

  2. but in the end who makes better music Ross or 50
    , Ja or 50

    Ross and Ja win

understand 2003 was 6 years ago

  3. Doja’s on expensive drugs

  4. can’t even listen to this with all of the background noise. interviewers also need to fuck off with the background music when conducting the meetings or when editing video.

  5. I agree. And I knew there was something up when you guys started advocating Asher Roth’s album. I mean, it’s probably okay, but not even close to what you guys claim it to be.

  6. ^ Agreed – the Asher promo is rediulous on this site. I understand backing someone you’re affiliated with, but seriously. Blu’s album woulnd’t get this much promo! Slaughterhouse is neglected compared to Asher! Everytime I see a post about it I’m starting to wonder how much cash is put up for all of this, it’s beyond support now.

    @ DoJa

    - Ja doesn’t make better music than 50 Cent. Ja doesn’t even make music anymore. Ross is arguable, because he’s been all over everything (mixtapes, remixes, the radio etc) – personally I’ve never liked his music, everyone was obsessed when “Hustlin” came out, and I liked a few tracks but I’m not ready to put him into any category as far as being a heavyweight in the game, aside from literally.

    - 2003 was a long time ago, but so were the 90’s and I still love Pac. For me it’s hard to ignore 50’s brutal dissassembly of Ja’s (HUGE) career, it was almost effortlessly destroyed by the newcomer. The only time you hear ANYTHING about Ja is when he’s speaking on something related to 50, whether it’s “How did it feel to get smashed?” or “What do you think about ________ V 50?”

  7. A weekly series might help him if he drops more than 1 type of song every time. If Ja makes the comeback it’s gonna be diversity.

  8. Let;s be honest…that video from Ja back in the day (’99), when it was just him and the mic in black and white…he ripped it to pieces and the walked away…fire. If Dopeboy Shake or Meka could use their power of influence to tell him to just go back to Venni Vetti Vecci days to just rip the mic with no features from R and B singers…no one would remember his failure of singing constantly…(although thats the standard now)..smh.

Also, it wasnt 50 who demolished him…Ja bodied himself with all that damn singing and after Eminem ripped him a new a-hole…(no one wants it with Em in battles) if you think about it 50 never bodied anybody…except Ja. Fat Joe was always garbage..he just had Big Pun backing him up…The Game and Rick Ross, Nas and Jadakiss are still here making hot music

that is ALL bullshit. neither blu nor slaughterhouse have a release right now. and i’ll support them just as much. not that i have to justify anything since well… its my site right? yea…

  10. I could give a fuck about the beef – I just hope dude gets back to making quality music on a consistent basis again

  11. I give about, 2 pieces of gum & some stomach pains about the beef.

    Ross make good music.
50 is making himself out as a cross dresser at the moment (no problem, if it feels right when you do it and all.)
2dopeboyz is tatted with some Asher Roth stuff, not convincing, but you should all realize it’s Shake’s & Meka’s site. They can do whatever they want with it. heh.
& Cudi needs to release the mastered Sky Might Fall.

Cool? Yeah, Cool. (oh, and Ja’s verse on MM was hot? no? Mild.)

  12. Shake you’re right – you don’t have to justify anything – it is your site and I’m very thankful I’ve found it, being that I’ve been exposed to so many artists & tracks I might have otherwise never heard. You guys do a great job – both of you do, as do the fans commenting on these boards. I’ve just never quite seen a site push an artist as hard as this one pushes Roth. Perhaps the comment was too much, but I’ve been browsing for a few short months and until now seen only a few releases with as much exposure as this one, on (2)dopeboyz. It comes to mind that ‘A Love Supreme’ got a few front page banners when it came out, but that was also a free download. Like I said; just makes me wonder, I ain’t mad at’cha.

BTW; I love that you read our comments. One of the many things separating this site from others.

    @ Meh

50 bodied him (all those freestyles, mixtapes & album cuts – plus the death certificates in the liner notes), Em was overkill. You’re right though; it was way overkill coming from Em. I never had a problem with the singing, truthfully. A few tracks, yes – but overall, no.
