Brother Ali at Paid Dues 2009 (Video)

As always, the big bad Brother tore it down this weekend at Paid Dues. This is the first, of many, videos that I’ll be posting from the festival. Unfortunately for ya’ll, I wasn’t aware that I could use my press pass to my advantage until after Ali’s set (ain’t that a bitch?). So I was deep in the crowd and did the best I could. The above medley jumps off with the man himself blessing me with a dope video drop. For those that have met Ali, will know that he is one of the most humble artists ever. Aside from the fact he has put out two of the best hip hop albums in the past 6 years, his personality and attitude is another big key on why he’s one of my top 5 emcees in the game. The above clip also features performances of Bitchslap!, Room With a View & Take Me Home. I would’ve got more but… it’s Brother fuckin Ali. I wanted to experience the show. Much closer, and better quality footage of Slaughterhouse, Atmosphere, Murs and more coming soon.

  4. Brother Ali is the man! I second everything you just said Shake, one of the most down to earth artists in the game, not to mention seriously dope.

  5. part of the reason brother ali is a great man is because he is a religious muslim man…and he is white aswell…so theres no race barriers in islam..don’t beleive the hype people..just look at brother ali…amazing artist indeed….room with a view and star quality give me the fucking chills to this day…unreal

  6. please tell me you got some tech n9ne footage too!!..
i wana know what the crowd thought of his performance… in my opinion the best stage show of the whole fest…

  7. ^^^ nah son slaughterhouse was by far the sickest performance of the festival
There was a mad amount of tech nine stans at the show tho but slaughterhouse
    Over everyone else

  8. Yup yup I have to agree, Slaughterhouse was the dopest and atmosphere kept it pretty dope as well

  9. In the past 6 months or so, Brother Ali has gone from being a pretty dope artist that I would listen to on occassion, to being one of my favorite artists and listening to a full album at least once a week now. He’s one of the dopest artists around and like you said just a dope person in general.

  10. Nice!

  11. If Slaughter House and Blu weren’t on the line up
I probably wouldn’t have went. Slaughter House 2 days in a row
Couldn’t have gas a better weekend good lookin Shake.
Atmosphere was dope, tech 9 was crazy dudes a character haha
    Brother Ali was impressive

  12. how can somebody possibly say that slaughterhouse was the dopest there? living legends blew slaughterhouse out of the water. anyway, i was just entirely bummed that blu & exile didn’t show up. amazing show though, with exception to cage. he put on one of the worst performances i’ve ever seen. fuckin terrible.

  13. Poignant is how i describe this man.
