12. Except Kanye barely did anything with the original sample, well actually almost nothing. He just added kicks, hats and snares. Without LaToiya Williams it would barely have had a modern “spin on it”.

15. yeah i honestly thought the kweli version was horrible…dude couldn’t twist, he sounded corny trying to be overly “conscious” about the club scene, the beat was dull and muffled and brought the sample down. When i heard this joint on the BOB LRG mixtape last yr. i pumped it for the rest of 08.

    but then again, i’m not the biggest kweli fan..so…i *might* be biased lol.
