[...] K-Os’ 2006 album, Atlantis: Hymns for Disco, was one of the most under-rated records to come out in recent years (in the states anyway – it was a #1 in Canada). Not only is he as good a rapper as Andre 3000, but he also an award winning songwriter and producer who incorporates elements of reggae, rock, funk, and electronic music into his records. I haven’t heard of or thought about K-Os in a while, but came across this leak of a new track from his upcoming 5th full length, Yes; due in March. goddamn. I am blown away by his style. The guy fucking sings, he raps. I think what Kanye did was creative to some degree with 808s, but why isn’t K-Os not a super star run right now, he has just as much talent and freshness. And Zambony proves he is still a fire breather.
