So last month this guy sent me this mixtape of songs he would have produced for Mos Def, and lo and behold it actually kept my attention for longer that 5 seconds. Was not really feelin the first one too much (it was cool but nothin that caught my attention). The 2nd one is pretty sick though, will prolly cop the tape.

The reason why the beats are so fast is that i think that no producer really fucks with the fast bpm soul sample/chops. And i think like i try to make that feel good music you know and i feel that these speeds capture it? and i noticed alto of beats slowed to accommodate all these southern artists. just my opinion tho.
i’ve been bumpin the mos tape for a few weeks now…circulate and wisdom (tracks 8 and 10) are my favorite, this second one for lupe is nice
