Everybody was talking about how TIRED of Auto-tune they are. How they need to retire the autotune from Hip-Hop. Even Shake has said that on numerous posts.
But, KANYE does an album using ALLLLLLLLLL autotune and people dub it “creative”? I don’t know. I don’t get it. I want to understand what’s dope about it, but I can’t.

I think that Kanye’s use of autotone in THIS ALBUM is more widely accepted because if isn’t as much of a cheesy application of autotune. Kanye is singing with true emotion from his heart, while Wayne was using the autotune in every other normal verse. I think that the autotune maybe be necessary, just for this album, because Kanye is approaching from a different standpoint, and his voice would probably sound poor without it. Autotune should be used for singing, not rapping.

i wouldn’t say kanye’s music is “hot.” its deeper than that. t-pain makes club bangers which is fine, but kanye is on something different.
I guess people don’t understand that artists have to have some type of growth, if there is no growth than what’s the point of making music? It’s like a football player, he’s not gonna stick around & do the same routine, he’s gonna better himself as an athlete to be more well rounded, and if other, bigger opportunities arise and present itself to said “player” he will have the ability to tackle (no pun intended) any obstacles. With Kanye, he just lost someone dear to him so he’s probably stepping back & trying to reexamine life – and be more creative. Thinking outside the box. But to each their own, just as some fans despised Electric Circus, the same is bound to happen with this album. As long as he humbles himself and continues to make music, that’s all that really matters to me. Shit, even if he doesn’t humble himself, it’s all gravy. Sorry for the long rant… Haha.
