It took a little longer than expected. But what’s a few hours when you get a CDQ/NoDJ version over a radio rip from GL’s radio show? I’m not even gonna speak on this shit. Listen, enjoy and let’s get some debate on who ripped it the most. UPDATE: As I said in the comments, Joey was displeased with the original mix so here goes the final mix with better quality, etc. UPDATE 2: Lyrics included after the jump…

Joell Ortiz:
I define gutter, everytime I rhyme I climb up another notch
Hip hop got my spine smothered
But I’ll be fine brother
My mind hovers above all you jive suckers
Listen, that’s word to my mother
You throw a shot at me
I’m throwing a shot back
Your’s is on a joint
Mine’s whistling by your top hat
Ya I’m cool but you violate and I’ll cock back
Open the mac’s mouth and black out like I do not rap
Im sick and tired of niggas lyin
They fifth is lyin in they second drawer
Next door to some bullshit they ironed
yall be makin up stories that them little kids be buyin
I do everything my Penn State like a Nittany lion
I ain’t gotta mention the streets on this song
To get in a nigga ass on these beats like a thong, pause
Veterans co-sign me, the up and coming scared
The pretty girls go “Papi here’s my underwear”
Never in a hundred years I thought I’d be a rapper
But in less than a hundred bars I knew I’d be a factor
I’m PS4 in HD and the screen is plasma
You’re Atari 2600 with a weak adapter
Between us the gap’s so crazy
I’m Gucci, Louis V, you’re Gap, Old Navy
I get coochie in the V, you attract no ladies
You’re suburb, I’m gutter where it make cat’s go crazy
Nino Bless:
Fuck a lecture, ain’t tryin to be Pun’s sucessor
That term’s done fucka, what up whatever
You bird’s is food
I’m about to pluck some feathers, I’m young and clever,
Plus, clutch under pressure, yup! who does this better?
Walk around with metal all on me like the front of Shredder
I lust for cheddar, you owe me
Leave holes in your vest that’ll open your chest like a sunken treasure
I’m somethin’ like a phenomenon
Droppin’ bombs for fun then dining in hell during Ramadan
Whatever I’m rhymin’ on, or whoever I tear em apart
Swear on my pops, no fear in my heart
Shit, been through it all
Done swam with the sharks, snapped fins with my jaws
I’m all that, and a bag of the baddest piff
Off a brick of hash mixed with acid hits
Like sick cracker shit
Get back dumb birds I ignore the hype
Click clack, Yung Berg if you flossin ice
Dog, cross me twice, can’t afford the price
It’ll cost you, I’ll off your life
You soft, I told you I’m raw white
When I’m on this mic, the mourn at Knight
Don’t wanna see mornin’ light
And I feel like I’m forced to fight
When the chips are down like Ponch fallin’ of his bike
Of course my metaphors are type awesome, right
I got em in awe, my aura’s Jordan like
What’s really poppin’, who’s diddy boppin’
You was a willy
Now you all Common and really conscious
I ain’t with that silly nonsense

I wrap niggas up, clap niggas up, scrap niggas up
Either that or we gon’ slap niggas up
Dump dirt on you right before I go into my Maino mode

I’m a living anal probe
I’m a lame-a-phobe

Now I’m spittin’, sittin’ between Shady and Jay

I would talk about Kimbo but I ain’t crazy

Joe Budden:
They say he a bastard for real
Then they see the ass on his girl
So they wonderin’, why he so mad at the world
I take it out on tracks, I R.I.P. it
So even to the producer it’s hard to I.D. it
Bars tremendous, it’s in your best interest

So ya’ll could bump swag like us
But the next time rap’s discussed
Add this as a plus
Don’t nobody hit the pad like us
And would get up in that ass
But the fags might bust
And since poppin’ tags is a must

You gon’ need another processor,

everything at once*
I HAVE A NEW IDOL!!!!!!!!!!
joey for the win!
i say joey had the best verse
They all came hard, kinda too hard to judge for me. In my opinion its between Crooked and Joe tho
Fuck zShare. going at 6kb/s with 20 minutes left.
Straight fire…my personal order:
Crooked I
Joell Ortiz
Royce
Budden
Nino
and I prefer Budden over Royce as an artist too..smh..how you gon’ close out your own track and not rip it the hardest?
wow really? u must b on dial up lol
whats good shake
No, Fuck Your slowass computer…lol.
Joe
Royce
Crooked I
Joell
Nino
Very Nice. When I saw it was 7 mins. long I knew it was going to be like a warzone.
Royce And Joell was enough for me.
2dope(boyz!)!!!
Crooked I easily had the best verse his shit was incredible
this nigga said “sicker then flying in past tense on some flew shit”
Nino had the second best verse on there
Joell Ortiz Royce and Budden were all equal IMO
i dont think any of them went as hard as nino and crooked I
Nino o lucky muthafucka. Held his own kinda tho.
This thing had 1000 dls in 10 minutes. On slow ass Zshare. That’s HIP HOP!
I’m still going at 6kb/s with 8 minutes left lol. Etf its only zShare that goes this slow. Usually takes me like 20 seconds to get a song. smh fuck zShare
just added sharebee/mediafire.
know this though. joey’s unhappy with the mix and had a few things changed. i’m gonna re-up that version in like 15 minutes or something. i’ll let you know when it’s changed.
“I do everything my pen states like a nitty line”thats one of the hardest lines on this song
Joey
royce
crook
joel
nino
but everyone was fire i gotta keep listening did anyone here any sublime
1. royce
2. crooked
3. joey n joell
4. Nino (nevr really felt him)
Where is Saigitty on this?
thanks shake… something seemed to be out of place so definitly will be waiting for the updated version
I would talk about kimbo but…I aint crazy
“Zipper over your head, Dudes calling you crotch face”
“I do everything my pen states like a nitty line”thats one of the hardest lines on this song”
How Can that be the hardest line when you don’t even understand it. I’m not trying to be a dick or anything but its nittany lion. Thats Penn State’s mascot
did nino say somethin at Term….?
am i reachin?
everyone held their own…..BUT crooked had the best verse and flow.
“i kill a pen, leak his blood on the page/i breathe bars, like oxygen locked my lungs in a cage/instrumentals get fucked on the stage, a pedophile/unless i dig in the crates and fuck with somethin my age”
“i’m a gorilla behind these bars, on some zoo shit/shoot you while you’re talkin, on some news camera crew shit/sicker then flying in past tense, on some flu shit/day old asshole flow, i drop new shit”
(First Verse) Woke up this morning at 9:11/ Turned on the news and realized it was 9/11/ Why do you think the terrorists flew those planes into those towers? Must be the same feeling the way i want to drive my car off the bridge and into the water/ they see, I see America isnt greater/ than you or me/ yes we have money/ along with different views/ but if we were all the same hue and have easy going views/ the world would become U.W.S. (United We Stand)/ NOT the U.S.of.A.
check the update. new/final version has been added. joe is more on beat, etc
ortiz says “i do everything my pen(n) states like a nittany lion”, not nitty line…. it kinda sounds like he messed up n said nifty tho
penn state on that national championship shit this year by the way
HI HATERS
New verion sounds more CDQ than the other also.
Crooked I murdered this whole thing you cant compare anyone else to him in this song
yo rodger that line is “sicker than flying in past tense, on some flew* shit”, cuz “flew” would be the past tense of flying…Crooked’a on some other shit
Oh and the new mixed version does sound better
btw when you droppin’ It’s Charles Hamilton Shake?
^^ its a double meaning…flew (past tense) and he’s sicker than (flu) shit
Joey’s 1st but it was a hard one, they were all on their A-Game
He was spittin mad bars, ridin a comfortable flow, not stressed, he laid mad efforteless punch lines like ”I can fit your house in my condo”
Y’all the sh!t for posting this exclusive track. And the artwork is crazy. That’s gonna be my new wallpaper.
I loveD the track they could of been harder but I think
I was surprised Royce’s verse wasn’t that hard it was ok.
Nobody really went coko for coacoa puffs but it’s better than most in this industry. Much respect for the post!!!
1. Joey and Crooked-I (I’m still deciding by default I might say Joey cause he had the advantage to begin w/ cuz it’s his track)
2. Nino Bless (He surprised me. He did his thing)
3. Joell Ortiz (Joel did his thing)
4. Royce 5′9 (He’s intensity wasn’t there but the lyrics were)
the only thing that coulda made this track better was a verse from Saigon……….he and Joey need to squash the beef!
gotdamn fucking disgusting!! Halfway House on the way, I’m hype!
^^
True That..Saigon’s missing….his presence and flow more than lyrics but that’s what unique about him
Haflway House better be as o more ill than the MM Trilogies cause Padded room got pushed bACK..
”…as much as Charles Hamilton played Sonic” damn..CH name droppin that soon
you need to get america’s sweetheart by fall out boy
did nino say somethin at Term….?
am i reachin?
^^^^^^^^^^
naw u not, he definitely threw a shot at Term.
everyone knows Terms biggest influence is Pun, and Nino said “aint tryna be Pun’s successor, that Terms done fucker”
it did sound like bless mentioned Term wit the Pun line in the beginning. haha at Joey mentioned his girls ass cause everybody done went star struck over it since the kitchen video
If this unknown dude really had the guts to think..about getting at Term…lol….2 words : Good Luck u gon’ need it (6 words** lol)
termanalogy is boring as hell… i wouldnt be surprised if nino bodies him
Damn, joey stay winning now
yall can bump Swag Like Us, but the next time rap’s discussed, add this as a plus
Cheaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh
raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh
track is raw
Jayizratedx, u must b on rocks …a talented MC + Prod. by DJ Premier = undeniable good hip hop = Termanology = AZ = Royce = NaS = Jay etc..
lol did u just mention termanology n the same sentence as those three?
dude termanalogy aint even the same ball park. that kid has a few hot lines here and there but its hard to even through his whole mixtapes.
theres alot of rappers that can spit lyrics for days but you need to be the total package. that includes charisma, creativity, and song making ability. termanalogy = canibus
So Shake… what’s good with a Fitted x 2dopeboyz x Royce fitted? Interested? Hit me with an email…
Or maybe just a Fitted x 2dopeboyz fitted. But props for this!
Ur 3/4 right..cause Term’s 3/4 of the full package…Canibus was 50% and it was a lyric matter
Jin 1/4..
PS : ur right about his mixtapes but the album proves u wrong, on each and every joint not only the topic change but the flow, tempo and all that are distinctive.. Politics As Usual!!!
Man, IMO it goes:
Royce
Crooked I
Joe Budden
Nino Bless
Joell Ortiz
Man, I miss this kinda Hip-Hop. The days of Sheek Louch, Styles P, State Property, Dipset in their prime. Raw, street-hop.
First, I gotta say Crooked I killed it and that’s sayin’ cause I’m not even a fan of dudes. Joey and Joell come 2nd and 3rd. I think the beat was total ass though. The drums were boring and the synth lines just sounded cheesy as hell. I think you would’ve gotten much better vocal performances from all of them if Joey would’ve picked a better beat…kinda surprised no ones even talked about that yet.
Mr. Budden, I certainly hope that this is NOT representive of the type of beats we can expect from Halfway House or Padded Room….
crooked i and royce always come haaaaarrrrrd……
Dr0 proves a point this beat sucks percussion wise. Same shit with that joint he on with fab, stack bundles and etc on mm3…we’ve seen him choose better beats than some dip-set mixtape type o beats.
candidate for song of the year imo. all them dudes ripped it it’s not even about who came the hardest none of them came weak but i was suprised nino held his own against them heavyweights tho.
goddaayyyym…. crooked i KILLED this shit… but buddens 2nd.. but all of em ripped it….
Ortiz killed it. Point blank period.
yeah this shows nino can compete with the big shots… good on ‘em plus that penn state line was ILL!
You people are horrible, are you fucking serious? Joe was number one with Ortiz coming in a close second. Royce was third, Nino was fourth and Crooked I, surprisingly was the worst. Not even just the worst, but wack period. Joe dissapoiting????!!!!! NEVER! HIP HOP is dead FOR SURE with the taste of you bullshit ass fans.
The Fuck you on? Crooked came the hardest, hands down. Shake, you should do a poll, to see more specific results and big ups on the song.
Lets not miss the point. WE should all be happy for joey. Just from this song post alone you can tell this album ( IS it an album or a mixtape?) is going to be huge. Hopefully he and everyone featured on this song can start getting the props they deserve.
Joey B. held it down, but its just a blaze track, they all put in on that one. Hope it gets some real radio play.
-Ed.
http://www.edthesportsfan.com
Well Im still listenin to it but I can tell you right now that Nino Bless had the weakest verse. Joel set it off right tho, the 1st verse is important, it sets the tone.
Ok, Joey had the best verse.
*closes thread*
Joey!!!

since when has having an opinion make you a bullshit fan of hiphop..we all have different taste in hiphop..if it wasnt for having different taste in hiphop..hiphop wouldnt be so diverse..thats what makes hiphop so beautiful all different syles it comes in..so just cause you have your opinion doesnt mean we all bullshit fans for having ours
term needed to be put in his place lol @ nino. everybody killlleeddd this track
[...] memory lane shit, click on the link and get your bitter beer face on, this is serious business. Shake’s artwork was so nice, I had to steal borrow [...]

I DONT KNOW WHAT SOME OF YA’LL TALKIN ABOUT. I THOUGHT NINO BODIED THIS SHIT YA SLEEPIN CAUSE HE AINT KNOWN. HOMEBOY SAID;
“LEAVE HOLES IN YA VEST THAT’LL OPEN YA CHEST LIKE A SUNKEN TREASURE”
“IM FORCED TO FIGHT, CAUSE THE CHIPS ARE DOWN LIKE PANCH FALLIN OFF THAT BIKE”
ARE YA LISTENING TO WHAT IM HEARING?? CROOKED AND NINO HAD THE BEST 2 VERSES THEN JOE THEN ROYCE THEN JOELL. JOELL WAS BORING TO ME HE DIDNT SAY MUCH OF ANYTHING. TRACK IS CLASSIC THOUGH I WILL BUMP 10 MORE TIMES TO CATCH LINES I MISSED!! PROPS SHAKE U HAD THIS FIRST! U NEED TO DO A MIXTAPE WITH NINO LIKE U DOING WITH C.H CAUSE HE’S NASTY
real hiphop
real mcs
CROOKED I
C.O.B
WESTCOAST !!
OBAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!!!
Lol well as if it wasn’t expected Crooked I destoryed this track. Everytime he drops a verse he steps it up a bit more everytime. This is prob one of his best for sure. Royce verse was ill and his delievery sounded the best on this beat. Ortiz did his thing, never listened to Nino before but I wasn’t really impressed. Joey was a disappointment for it being his track.
To be honest if I was a hip-hop artist, I wouldn’t touch anything Crooked is on because he will without a doubt outshine everyone.
“I do everything my pen states like a nitty line”thats one of the hardest lines on this song
^^^ yeah. it is a hard line… but it’s nitty lion (penn states mascot) but at least you got the nitty part. I heard “nifty” and figured maybe I missed something. Tight track tho
Crooked Beasted. Nino was what I expected. Royce dissapointed me a lil at the start. Joell was on his job. JOey was good. but it was no “family reunion”
Did they record this together or were the first sent in?

“When the chips are down like Ponch fallin’ off his bike”
Now that’s a quotable.
^ yea it is…people are sleeping on Nino Bless…he still had the weakest verse but we’re talkin about 5 of some of the best emcees
Two YB references? unless his chain pops up in the vid, he doesn’t deserve the mention.
Royce’s wire references just didn’t come off smooth, but how you gonna hate on the silver-tongued state senator…sheeee-it!
young berg got called out twice on dis track lmao
Okay heres the breakdown:
Hip hop essential ingrediants, dope beats dope rhymes. Well you miss one element and it causes alot of imbalance which is what this beat does. First realize this is a Joe Budden track. For this reason I am disappointed at Buddens for his beat selection you get these emcees and pick this beat, thats a HUGE LETDOWN. If you call a track the “slaughterhouse” and back it up with a beat that sounds like the ending of 90’s video game (Contra) your going to disappoint. Royce (Primo) Crooked I (Komplex) Joel (Statik) these are all hot producers, Joe never seems to get thrown nice beats and it may have to do with his lack of respect from others in the industry.
Anyways,
On to the track:
Pros:
Crooked I & Royce Da 5′9″, Joel, lineup & hype
Cons:
Joe Budden, Nino Bless, Production & bad verse mixing
Versus: (In order)
1. Crooked I… He is old school and now getting recognition, this guy could outrap anyone for days. He is like the teacher and the rest are his students (minus Royce). How can I put it he is like the Michael Jordon of wordplay and Joe Budden is Deshawn Stevenson (got alil swag and can make a shot but not near a lyrical monster). Crooked’s verse was alil short still the hottest and stayed on point with “slaughterhouse”.
2. Royce Da 5′9″ it just seemed easy for him, he already killed BE2 it just seemed like he was throwin bars off on someones beat who dissed him recently with no effort and he still rode the beat well and easily sounded better than Joe, maybe Joel was tied with him.
3. Suprsingly Joel comes off very nice, rides the beat better than Budden w/o a doubt and had some nice lines
4. Joe Budden was just boring, it came off as a random tyrade of absolutle nothings: “poppin e in a honda with hands look like e-honda?” Im lost, im sorry he just ethered himself with that ridiculously dumb line. “I could fit your house in my condo?” Ehhh just not what I expected from him after everyone hyped him up so much, maybe thats what it is. I think hes passed his time he never seems to reinvent his style and seems to sound the same on everything. For ex: He just recently dropped a video for a song that was nearly the same format as Pump It up, ph well maybe he’ll shock me next time
5. Nino Bless was off beat and had subpar lyrics but still seemed consistant in content
Overall:
Track is a disappointment
My suggestion if you like hot wordplay and GOOD beats:
Cop:DJ KO – Picture This
Jake One – White Van Music
Outerspace – Gods Fury
Pete Rock Vs MidaZ The BEAST – Ozone’s Finest
Reef The Lost Cauze’s new album, Elzhis last album (kinda old)
Royce Da 5′9″ – Bar Exam 2 & Jedi’s new album
Dont forget, Statik Selektah – Stick 2 The Script

props to 2dopeboyz for the charles hamilton mixtape!! and one year anniversary.
people are scared to say nino had a better verse than anybody on this cause of the heavyweights on here but lets be real his verse imo was the next best to crooked’s. royce was disappointed and i dont understand the hype behind joell his verse was very average and mr buddens came with it this time. this track was far from a disappointment i dont know what anybody expects the song was great. gimme 7 plus minutes of a lyrical display like this anyday fuck commercial bullshit i want to hear bars like this peep the lyrics.

Hot is scratches on a classic sample flipped with a taste that makes your spine cringle not a scram jones throw away..amatuers
Bitter? for what? That statements irrelovent
This joint aint all that good. There’s no natural chemistry on it. And the beat is pretty weak. So it’s just another forced posse cut that doesn’t add to any of their reps. They all spit aight on it. nothing like they do on their own joints.
Samples make your spine cringle? Faggot.
Stop acting like lil’ beybee’s…tha shit is fiyah. But everyone’s entitled to their opinions.

CROOKED I TOOK THE CROWN!
HANDS DOWN!
1. CROOKED I
2. ROYCE THE 5′9″
3. JOELL ORTIZ
4. JOE BUDDEN
5. NINO BLESS
I thought this track was garbage, and this is coming from a HUGE Budden fan. His verse was weak AND the beat was weak. I’m not up on a lot of new rappers but Nino Bless sounds like utter garbage, I thought everyone’s verse was weak but if I had to pick, it would either be Joell or Royce. I might give it another listen, but it’s def gonna end up getting deleted.
nice track…everyone came nice

Unxpekted DMVs Disciple…..dude u seriously have TOO much time on your hands. If you don’t like the song so much, why did you just take an hour out of your life to breakdown a “wack” song. Wow man, that is a hater my friends. It’s cool that you don’t like it but you come back to this thread every 5 minutes to defend how “bad the song is” LOL…

Crooked I easily had the best verse, I mean the dude just lost it! Joell Ortiz & Royce ripped it but I can’t really decide who came out on top Budden and I can believe it only cuz he up against BEASTS,came in 4th with Nino Bless 5th. Nobody had a weak verse. This is like trynna pick a top 5 LOL. And not for nothing Buddens BODIED Warfare way harder than Joell but Joell is just so dirty with it! So hard to choose LOL
Yeah the punches do punch harder on Veterano beat but nah it ain’t a better beat than Scram joint. And I said the beat coulda been better but this ain’t it………….and yeah you know what, Bless did spit a better verse than Budden so Bless 4th Budden 5th……
