Yeah they played just fine. And as much respect that I have for Royce he doesnt want to see Joey in a battle. I would much rather see them on a track together. Joe is Battle-tested and has no problems admitting he has flaws which makes it difficult to really diss him while Royce seems to just scream and loud aggressively when he is battling someone..ie Malcolm X. Both artists are dope but in a battle Royce would get destroyed.
Personally, I think Joe Budden X Royce 5′9″ would be a battle to remember. Lyrically it would be entertaining…

You mention the Mistah Fab & Royce battle WITHOUT mentioning that Joe Budden was supposed to battle that night and clearly backed out with bullshit excuses…regardless if you everheard Mistah Fabs music you would probably want to hang yourself its beyond horrible.. If FAB goes off the dome and wins, but Royce has to sit down and write a song, FAB wins by default…

Royce Decides To Say Fuck It, He Calls SAIGON who is still mad about the Mobb Deep, Hit and Run Comments. Saigon appears out of no where and beats the shit out of Joe Budden. Royce stays across the street, recording the entire brawl/altercation on a camera for a straight to youtube video all the while laughing hysterically.
9. At the end of the day in my opinion they are both talented MCs who deserve a shot at making a great album with the right financial backing and support from a label.

Alright, I tried to read all of your guys post but I’m a little lazy. first off I’m a big fan of both; Buddens and Royce. As far as them battling goes…I think Royce WOULD take it. Royce has always IMO been the best when it comes to diss RECORDS. I’ve personally never seen Royce be that ill when it comes to a “freestyle battle”, BUT if they did end up getting @ each other it’s gonna be over wax. In scenarios like that Royce has never tooken a lose ( Malcom X, Shit On You, etc.).
Maybe, MAYBE, if it was a live battle it would be different. Thinking about it though, I’ve never really heard Buddens eat up anyone on a track. Sure you got the Ransom bull shit and what not but even he says most the time, it’s not a diss record just real shit. That’s what Buddens strength is: being real. Royce has the same strength, their both two of the most consistantly REAL artist I’ve ever heard. Royce eats dudes up when it comes to dissrecords though….
