gotta respect royce for keepin’ it 100. it’s not often you’ll hear a cat in the midst of a (possible) battle say how much he respects the other guy. it’ll be implied, some of the time, but for the most part not stated.
That line has been around for awhile. And I believe he addressed Joe Budden in that line because Joe Budden was still bringing Royce til the day pretty much. But, that’s not beef. I know most people, including Joe are gonna look at that as beef. He talkin’ bout havin’ a conversation on wax. That’s a whole different plateau from one line wit a dude’s name. But, Budden obviously doesn’t take kind to one-liners, and neither does Royce. So it can be an ongoing “thing”, not beef per se. But, just lil’ jabs. I’m sure if they just discuss whatever it is face to face without the outside world knowing of it, it can be resolved. You see Game & Budden did it. Cashis got a song with Royce now. Chamillionaire & Mike Jones got songs together now. Shit can be done. Now a lil’ friendly beef is good for the rap world. But, not no “I’ma beat ya ass when I see you” type shit

I hope these dudes DO battle on wax. Ive been WAITIN for a REAL lyrical battle for a while…but instead theres just bunch of wack dudes dissin each other for the past year. But Joe Budden vs. Royce, that’ll be some sick shit to see. Joey might actually be a lyrical challenge for Royce, unlike the last dude Royce bodied (Mistah Fab)
Wow, that surprised me. I was looking forward to that battle. I wonder how Budden will respond. A song with these two (possibly on Budden’s Big Mike mixtape?????) would be VERY hot and a good look for hip hop though.

& I mean Buddens is ill ( One of my favorite under Jay & Royce etc.) but when it comes to diss tracks I’ve never heard anything that really compares to royces except a few MAYBE (Jay -Takeover, SuperUgly, Kiss- I’m An Animal). From Malcom X to Who Got Bodied royce strait runs the diss tracks. I havn’t really heard any diss tracks from buddens when he does them he usually just says whats up with the situation and how he feels about it(which is y he’s so real) not much accutal dissing about it.
Either way it might be cool to see what happens but I think I’d rather have a colab…just me though?
