I know ya’ll we’re waiting for this one. eskay threw up this version of Kanye’s single off his upcoming album 808’s & Heartbreak. People are saying it’s the studio version but I can’t and won’t believe that at all. Knowing the perfectionist that Kanye is, there is no way he would release it this way. Sounds more like a demo version. I mean I can hear Kanye clapping during the hook! If this does turn out to be the CDQ, etc then I’ll take the L but I’m standing on this. And I’m only posting to get thoughts on my thoughts. What do the dopeboyz and dopegirlz think? Could this possibly be the final version? I have no explanation…but there is no way this is the final version. The sound quality is horrible, and he mumbles the chorus. I always try to figure out exactly what Knye’s trying to do with a song if I don’t like it on first listen, but this version is terrible.

I know he posted it on his blog, but there has not been a statement from his camp that it’s the first single, nor does his post say this is the first single off a new album or the final version of the song. Let’s hope it’s not the final version atleast. Listening to it with headphones on is painful…not mastered that’s for sure. It’s definitely a demo version in my opinion…without a doubt.

After listening to this and the live version, I must say I totally like the live version much better. Honestly, I don’t know why it was posted but the quality is too lack luster and lazy. As much as he talks about pushing the envelope, this can be done with someone’s soundclick instrumental and a built in mic on a laptop. No doubt this is definitely a demo or something. When I first heard it on youtube.com, I thought it was some crazy kid who spent hours and tried to get all the instrumentation to sound right on his copy of garageband, and then turned the auto-tune up to 150 and attempted to fool everyone. There are plenty of sections in this “studio version” that just don’t sound right. I agree. With ‘Ye being the pop music badass he is, this would never fly.
