How is taking money from the rich and giving it to the poor NOT socialism? As a matter of fact, most of the “change” Obama runs on is from a socialist view:

-Universal health care
-Bigger earned income tax credit for the working poor
-Free college tuition
-Universal 401Ks: Government matches 401Ks only in the low/middle class
-Subsidized public housing

The list goes on.

Is it wrong to bust your ass and work hard so you can keep your money for yourself? Apparently Obama thinks so.

Socialism will not work in this country and most of these proposals won’t fly with Congress. Obama just tells people what they want to hear so he can get votes. He’s making shit up as he goes. My 2 cents.

^^^^^^I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS SINCE LAST FUCKIN' YEAR!!!!!!!

Why do Republicans/rich people act like taxes are a form of punishment? By that rationale, we shouldn't even have a government at all.

The bottom line for taxes is spending (literally), and no administration in history has gotten us more into the red than this Republican one.

Don't whine about being punished with taxes if you're willing to turn a blind eye to the Republicans' flagrant fiscal irresponsibility. Money in, money out. You want less taxes? Insist on less spending. Izzat simple enuf fer ya? SERVED!

I understand the arguments from proponents who support and oppose Obama's plan. The feeling of outrage from the prospective of individuals who work very hard and earn an income within a range that attracts much higher taxes is justified. I understand the views that Obama's plan supports and encourages laziness. But the reality is, not everyone is lazy. There are those who are genuinely trying and really cannot get anywhere and there are those who are just worthless good for nothings. For the ones genuinely struggling, I do not mind making the sacrifice. If we are going to espouse the view that others needs to work as hard as us and achieve success, then we need to at least provide them with the opportunity to do so. It is no secret that persons with a college education earn more money. If that be the case, why not pave the way by making it a little easier for persons willing to work hard and attain some measure of success. I am by no means advocating that they be given handouts, I am promulgating, however, that government re-access its modus operandi and take the necessary steps to lower tuition fees so as to facilitate affordable college education for the average struggling american. In closing, for those of you who strongly criticize Obama's plan, if you were on the receiving ends, and things were really really difficult for you, would you be just as critical, or would you see Obama as a God sent? Remember everything you have today, can be gone tomorrow. Don't believe me, look at the lives of those who are victims of natural disaster or incurable illness.

I meant syntax, that's an unfortunate typo. Just in case "M/Dee squared times four" decides to avoid the real issues as usual and tags on that one thing. We know their ways, we've seen it on O'Reilly & 'em.

It's obviouse "M" & "Dee" are ONE and the SAME PERSON. Just check out the sentence structure, suntax and even punctuation mistakes, it's all the same in the different comments, lol!

I'm convinced he's got to be some Republican sympathizer trolling the Internet trying to pass himself up as some HipHop head sharing his negative opinion on Obama & making it seem like it's a bunch of people who think alike. Get the Heck Outta Here, hehe!!!
What has the Republican party, which you so much adore accomplished over the past 8 years?
And why are you so afraid of Change, mister?

You talk of Dems giving handouts to those unable to secure employment while Reps have sent thousands of jobs abroad and literally killed the treasury and raped our pockets by starting senseless, inhuman wars for which we will pay for hundreds of years? C'mon get real "M", "Dee" or whatever you want to call yourself after my comment!

You're acting like the economy is not hurting, like lack of healthcare is a choice many people are comfortable with. Don't know which planet you live on but you better wake up & smell the coffee...If the election is fair & square, them Reps will get the stepping in November. You stole it twice, the 3rd time you may not be that lucky!

i think it's funny when people come on here and say, "come on, what has barack obama even done? name one accomplishment." to them, i say why don't you research the man like most of us have and see for yourself. people don't support him simply because he's a great public speaker. there are a myriad of reasons, whether it's his ethics reform legislation or his work with dick lugar. stop acting as if those who support the man don't know any better. educate yourselves a bit.
