Young Jeezy’s new album, The Recession, in stores today! What are the dopeboyz and dopegirlz general thoughts on it as a whole? I feel he traded lyrical content for lesser production this time around. Not saying he’s a dope lyricist, but he speaks on more important topics this time around. I just wish he would’ve kept his instrumental game up to par with his first two albums. Anyways, here goes the iTunes bonus track.

i think the beats are on par and maybe even better than his previous albums.. but i understand why you might feel that way because the beats do sound the same, its just that i like that sound and to hear it through out an entire album is dope to me
I thought the album was pretty dope, I d/l’d off of iTunes this morn… My fav. joint is “Circulate,” but the entire album was solid. Jeezy fans will enjoy. I think he could’ve def. had better beats. Thug Motiv. > Recession > Inspiration

The Beats Are Not That Dynamic I Mean Scott Storch Could Make Them With A Kids Piano Im All For Simple Beats But Not Like That WMP Is An Example Of A Great One As For The Lyrical Content It Was Def More Meaningful Than Talking Bout Trappin And What JEEZY Likes To Do But I Found Much Of Them Drowned Out By The Ablibs There Were Alot But All This Being Said My President Is The Best Track Then Again Who Am I

When he stops using that “yeaaaaahhhhh” as a lyric, I’ll take him seriously. But that Don Cannon track Circulate is nice, based solely on the beat. Cannon’s one of my favorite producers out right now.

this is the jeezy sound i like, i wish he had these type of songs on the album, its got that dark 80’s scarface feel, these type of beats suit jeezys style
