i respect what he’s saying, but saying Puff ain’t gonna find another Big is like saying Quincy Jones won’t find another Mike Jackson. There IS no new Big, there IS no new Puff, there is no new Jay. But assuming there is, saying Matty C can’t bring the new Big’s tape to Puff is just the way the game is. The new Big’s tape needs to be brought to the new Puff. They’re talking like Puff just looked up Andre Harrell’s name in the white pages and called him to ask for a shot and that was it. We all have to put in our work. No free lunches.
i completely agree with Skillz on this. The rule of english is to put in the work on the rough draft and hide it on the final copy. What we’re seeing is what transparency gets you in the industry.
