Cookin’ Hot Buttered Soul (Isaac Hayes Instrumental Tribute)

Before I drop my Sunday Soothing Session on ya’ll, I figured I would make a post about this NahRight x Cookin’ Soul x Isaac Hayes project I’ve been meaning to get up.

The 10th of August 2008, Isaac Hayes died. He was an incredible musician, composer and producer whose innovative sound changed the shape of pop and soul music in the 70s. As we heard the news, the three of us got to work. 48 hours later we had finished our tribute to one of the greatest. Enjoy. – Cookin’ Soul

  3. Thanks for the mix, but the constant “cookin soul” drops throughout make this one unlistenable. There is a time to promote yourself and a time to shut the fuck up and let the music play. If the listener can’t enjoy the music then you haven’t done your job.
