Pharcyde one of my favorite groups, props on the samples.
I would love to see something like this with the old Bombquad productions. Public Enemy had some of the most dense beats ever. I couldn’t even begin to call where some of those samples came from.

Big up’s on this. What a nightmare it was clearing all those samples do believe that! But when J-Swift and the Pharcyde played me the ruff demo to “Passin Me By” only the second song they had completed as the Pharcyde. (lil known fact they were first known as 2 By 2 and they did R&B rap prior to pharcyde) I was blown away and knew something serious was happening. I was already their mgr by this time and you would be shocked how many labels slept on their 3 song demo Ya Mana, Passin Me By & Hey Officer.
The business of the sample clearance business has a lot to do with the decline of creative hip hop. Keep Sharing!
