As promised earlier, we’re back with Jelani’s debut album. To some, the first time you heard/saw Jelani was on the video we posted with him and his pops Dapper Dan. To some, you’ve been a fan since jump. And to others, you’ve never heard of dude. Regardless, it’s a free album full of dope music. You really can’t go wrong with that. I downloaded a copy of his “Gospel Is Free” (check his myspace!) for free-ninety-nine, and I liked it so much that I wanted a physical copy so I could blast in the car. He gladly obliged to send me one, and he’s a real personal and likable dude…check his stuff out. To do that, you can grab his mixtape, or you can visit rockthedub.com and grab the Lighthouse Project. It’s a two-disc set of compiled tracks by the nicest unsigned guys, who are in dire need of some more exposure. These guys NEED to be heard, and what better way to do that when you combine all their best tracks onto two discs. Make sure you check that out, both disc 1 and disc 2. Artists include everyone from Praverb to Wordsmith to Freddie Joachim to L.E.G.A.C.Y. from the Justus League.
